Castle Continues To Recruit Real Authors

DSC_0004-bio-page

Author Michael Connelly

Following the guest appearances of real life authors James Patterson and Stephen J. Cannell in the season 1 pilot of “Castle”, the first episode of season 2 titled “Deep n Death” will include an appearance by award winning author Michael Connelly.  Connelly has released a series of crime novels and short stories and worked as a crime reporter for various newspapers including the Los Angeles Times.

In the “Castle” novel “Heat Wave” Castle bases one of the characters on himself and casts him in the role of a crime reporter tailing Detective Nikki Heat for research. It seems fitting that the author guest star in this episode has a background in crime reporting.

Author Stephen J. Cannell will also return for the episode.

This is such a cool idea and I hope they keep it up. The poker game scene with Stephen and James was wicked funny. I LOVE when famous people don’t take themselves so seriously.

    Hi,
Wasn’t there a fourth person (female) at the poker game, and who was she?
    Thanks,
    Bob

That was the person giving and evenly distibuting the poker chips. I forget what the job is called. -E

        According to this website: http://www.card-games-online.com/poker.html

        “Banker
One player should be designated as the banker, who keeps the stock of chips and records how many have been issued to each player or how much cash the player has paid for his chips. Players should make no private transactions or exchanges among themselves; a player with surplus chips may return them to the banker and receive credit or cash for them, while a player who wants more chips should obtain them only from the banker”

it is just called “banker”, but I think you’re right, there’s a special name for it. I couldn’t locate it on a quick search though.
