Castle Finalists in the Twitter “Oscars”

Nominations have been closed for the Shorty Awards – the “Oscars” of  Twitter – and three Castle related Twitter accounts have made it into the finalists!

Nathan Fillion is a finalist for the Celebrity category. The official Richard Castle account WriteRCastle and the Twitter account CastleTV run in conjunction with this website have both made it as finalists in the Entertainment category.

The Shorty Awards are a fun way to help raise awareness of Castle in the general public and the awards have already been mentioned on several well known media sites like USA Today, Wired and CNBC.

The finalists have been selected and if you didn’t participate in the nomination process and you have a Twitter account you still have the opportunity to make your vote count.  To be valid your vote must include a reason so think about why you enjoy or appreciate each Twitter account.  If you have already nominated/voted and you vote again, your new vote will overwrite the previous one.

Voting closes Friday, February 5 at noon EST.

The Real-Time Academy of Short Form Arts & Sciences will use a combination of criteria to select the winners, including the number of votes, the reasons given in nominations, answers to the Shorty Interview and the content of the finalists’ tweets. The award ceremony will be held on March 3 in NYC.

If you encounter an error when voting try logging out on the Shorty Award page (top right corner of the Awards website) and then start the process again using the links in this article.
