As with previous years, ABC has extended Castle’s season order from a regular full season of 22 episodes to include an additional episode bringing the total to 23.
This goes to reinforce our reassurances to fans of late that while Castle may be performing a little lower in the key demographic than it has at times in the past its future is solid. Castle continues to perform very well in total viewers consistently entering the top 25 list of most viewed TV shows each week and as a franchise including books, coffee and other items ABC is pleased with the bottom line.

I was sure it was among the top three. I mean, how could it not be?
Perhaps it’s the name. I have personally convinced 11 people to watch the show and I’m working on #12, and work it is. At first when I mention the title they all think it’s a show about English castles and makes faces accordingly. However, as soon as I have gotten them to see the first episode my work is done. They all turn into Castle fanatics.
Yes, the Castle drug is very potent and will leave you craving more.
I should also mention that the Swedish channel who is airing the show does a poor job marketing it, (= not at all!) and have given it a terrible airing time, (11:30pm Friday nights).
I’m from Greece! Speaking of terrible airing time listen to this… 10:00am yes yes in the morning!! And its getting even worse.. it quited the show on season 2!! but i’m happy cause because of them i’ve been castle fun! and yes all was needed was the first episode which I was watching while I was breast feeding my new born son!

I have to agree. I doesn’t have to take any more pursuation when they see any episode in Castle they convert right away.
I have 6 people introduced to the show and like me they’re going crazy about it too. I’m working on my 7th and 8th right now.

I’d had a horrible week, but now I am squeeing again! 
wat can i say but awesome castle has gone above and beyond brilliant in crime drama the story lines get better and better and the acting is 2nd to none, keep up the work all ppl involved with the series, i can see it running for a very long time to come.
This is great news. Maybe we can get an ep of the Johanna Beckett scholarship event. I know this topic has been discussed in a number of forums. I t would be such an outstanding ep. Imagine all the possiblities… it would be a powerful and emotional ep for Kate, and I think the perfect ep for Kate to tell Rick, “ILU” Hey, we got the Xmas ep so a girl can dream, can’t she?

I’m not sure there should be an ep about it, mention of it at some point I would think more likely. As far as the “I love you” I think they are both saying I love you in many ways already, I think people place too much emphasis on specific words

In Australia. Have never seen Castle promoted as ch 7 is doing today. Coming soon! How long is coming soon!??? Very happy ch 7 is fast tracking it to us! Love the show and can’t wait to see it back on TV here! Best show Eva! And advertised a second time in the time it has taken me to tap this in! What is going on?! I think if there weren’t an election debate this Monday, ABC would have ordered two extra episodes like they did for a couple other shows. But since it won’t air this week, they only requested one extra. Boooooo. But I’ll take what I can get.
Actually the election doesn’t have anything to do with it, I suspect it’s more about some of the crew needing more than a week and a half break during the hiatus … which is fair, they work so hard!
Hi, I’m in New Zealand (Christchurch), and we’ve only just had the final episode of season 4 here about a month ago, now we are getting re-runs. No sign on when the new season is starting here at all. Season 4 is being released on DVD about the middle of Dec 12, so maybe arround this time? Thank you for the great website, I contributed to the Castle App & it’s amazing .
Be sure to contact the network that airs it there and let them know you want to see the new season as soon as possible, encourage your friends to do the same. Fans in Australia doing this got it shifted forward from Feb to December and now it’s actually starting there next week.

i am one of the increasing numbers of uk fans that are buying castle from i-tunes. costs 30.00 pst (not sure what that is A$) but at 23 episodes its worth at about £1.30 per ep. we are one of the last areas to get it . usually around may, start of summer traditionally low viewing figures. it is aired here by uktv channel `alibi`. why we wait so long i don`t know, second guessing alibi is difficult, but as they started last night with s1 ep1 and are showing all 81 episodes 5 nights a week we may even get it in february 2013. anyway the i tunes option is great, i get to watch it at breakfast the morning after the us showing. no secret that s5 has so far been superb, just when you thought it couldn`t get better it has. AWM and the whole crew deserve every plaudit that comes there way, why they haven`t got an emmy is beyond me. long may castle continiue

Castle is my all time favorite show!!! The Castle team is phenomal. I can not wait until Mondays just to watch Castle. Season 5 is great, I especially loved the “handshake” kiss and the stickman conversations. I loved the getaway to the Hamptons but I wanted to see a little more Caskett action

Glad to see that iTunes in the UK has the ability to buy TV shows, here in good ole New Zealand we don’t get that option. I heard back from TVNZ that season 5 won’t start until 2013, argh! Luckily I found an online site were I can watch them the following day, and this wonderful App to keep me sane.
The episode shown 11/12/2012 was horrible! The ‘cameras’ following all the actors made them look like a__es. This is the worst show since its inception!! I switched channels to watch Hawaii Five-0. Anymore of this and the show will lose a viewer.
Episode played on 11/12 was horrible. It was a waste of waiting for Castle that day. PLEASE don’t do it again. The show lost it’s appeal more like appalling. I still love Castle but just this episode sucked……big time.

I must agree with Pat Potts & Castled, I hated that espiode 11/12/2012, it was horible the worst of the worst TV showes. Not a Castle quality show. I went to watch Hawai Five-O. I hope you do not plan more shows like that, if so I do not plan to back the program any more. I had 2 new viewers watching and almost lost them. I Terri going to come back Ilove how she writes.

I love this show but I too was not to happy with the 11/12/12 ep. I can honestly say that it was my least favorite ep of the season. IMO, there could have been much better options. Things can’t always be 100% all of the time. Happy Holidays to everone and thank you for giving us such an outstanding show!
