“Heat Wave” written by the fictional author Richard Castle from the ABC TV series “Castle” was released in September last year has spent 16 weeks in the New York Times top 30 bestsellers for Hardcover novels and is into it’s 8th print run.

In January ABC announced a second novel based on Nikki Heat would be released this year. The title “Naked Heat” has been announced and the book will be released September 28th.

Heat Wave is Up…and Down?

After selling out around the country Richard Castle’s novel “Heat Wave” dropped down from 6th position to 17th on the New York Times Bestseller List a couple of weeks ago. New stocks have started shipping out over the last two weeks and this caused “Heat Wave” to rise back up to #15 last week and the NYTBS list today shows that the novel has risen further to 11th place. Castle is also #18 on the Barnes & Noble list.

“Heat Wave” has however dropped significantly this week (in price that is) and can now be Purchased through Amazon for just $9.00. This is a great opportunity to add the New York Times Bestseller to your Christmas shopping lists. The Castle: The Complete First Season DVD set is also on sale for $16.49.

Heat Wave Soars

After the exciting news of Castle’s back 9 pick up earlier today, sales of “Heat Wave” have continued to increase. Barnes & Noble are now out of stock with Heat Wave having reached #1 on their Bestsellers list.

After dropping back to 9th position, “Heat Wave” is now rising up the charts and is currently at its highest point in 6th position. Amazon still has “Heat Wave” in stock so get your copy before it sells out.

Last week “Heat Wave” dropped back slightly on the New York Times Bestseller list however a significant increase is expecting when the new figures are released late this week due to the high sales on Amazon and elsewhere for the week in question.

UPDATE: Heat Wave is also #6 at Books-A-Million. Currently the novel is on backorder at most online retailers and will take 2-6 weeks for delivery.

Heat Wave Signing Event Monday Oct 19

Nathan Fillion will be signing copies of Richard Castle’s “Heat Wave” at a special signing event on Monday October 19 at 7:30pm. The event will take place at The Grove at Farmers Market: 189 Grove Drive Suite K 30, Los Angeles, CA. No other signing events are planned at this time so if you’re in the area be sure you don’t miss out. We’ll post more details when they become available.

Heat Wave Sales Surge – Updated

The Heat Wave novel written by the Castle series lead character Richard Castle made the New York Times Bestseller list early this month after the first week of its release.

In the last couple of days Heat Wave has also shot up the Amazon Bestseller List where it is currently in eighth position for books. According to Amazon, just two days ago Heat Wave didn’t even rank in the top 100.

UPDATE: Heat Wave reached #7 on Amazon and has also reached #4 on Barns & Noble Bestsellers list.

This Monday’s episode of Castle “Fool Me Once” made significant mention of the novel including reference to a saucy chapter featuring Nikki Heat and Jameson Rook the two characters based on Beckett and Castle. The book was also advertised at the end of the episode bringing it to the attention of viewers who were not previously aware the book existed in the real world.

The high sales of Heat Wave and particuarly the inclusion of the novel in the New York Times Bestseller list are sure to bring a lot of positive buzz to Castle and hopefully this will be reflected in the ratings for future episodes. The Amazon Bestseller List is updated frequently and the New York Times Bestseller will be updated again on Friday.
