If I were to choose a moment from the show itself, I think for me the most memorable would have to be the scene near the end of the pilot episode where Beckett whispers in Castle’s ear “You have no idea!” and turns her back and walks away, that was the moment I knew this show was going to be something special, what chemistry!

Because Castle is a high rated show in Australia the channel 7 network chose to delay the beginning of season 4 so that it wouldn’t be disrupted by the X-Factor (which is known to run overtime) and then the Australia Open which completely takes over the network for two weeks in January.

With the Australian Open ending tonight (Jan 29) there will be be a repeat of  the season 3 finale “Knockout” aired at 10:30pm (check your local guide as times may be different in some areas).

So if you’re in Australia be sure to watch tonight to get ready for the brand new Season 4 episode “Rise” next Sunday (5th Feb) at 9:30pm.

UK Update: We believe those in the UK can look forward to Castle season 4 beginning some time in March on Alibi Channel however if you’re in the UK you’re in the wonderful position of being able to watch Season 4 by buying the episodes on UK iTunes, each episode is released the same days as it airs in the US so it’s fantastic opportunity for those that can take advantage of it.

The first season of Castle had 4 commentaries between the 10 episodes but when the season 2 DVD set hit shelves a collective cry from the fans went out when they discovered there wasn’t a single commentary, not even the text version that had appeared on the ABC Live Episode Viewer throughout the season.  Season 3 was an improvement but barely with only 2 commentaries among the entire 24 episodes.

It appears that ABC is considering what to do with commentaries this year and they’ve put up a poll on their Facebook page asking fans to vote for 1 of the 5 episodes they’ve selected as being the one they’d like a commentary for.  You can vote in the official poll here facebook.com (Hint: You’ll need to “like” the page before you can vote).

Go and do it now, we’ll wait till you get back……

The Hollywood Reporter spoke to Stana Katic about the much anticipated Noir episode ofCastlecoming up in February…

Stana Katic: The film noir episode, “The Blue Butterfly,” is an episode that Terrence Winter (Boardwalk Empire) wrote for the show. The storyline circles around the gang finding a journal, an old P.I.’s journal from the 1940s. In reading the journal,Castle starts daydreaming that some of the characters are people in this man’s journal. We all take on these ’40s stereotypes.Castle becomes the P.I., Beckett becomes the gangster’s moll, the boys are thugs who work for the gangster. Susan Sullivan is the P.I.’s secretary. Tamala Jones plays a torched singer and they actually used her voice for the singing pieces. It’s a fun story because it flashes back to the journal and then it comes back to present day.

THR: There is a big kiss in that episode. How does that come about?

Katic: Like I said, the best version of the Castle and Beckett story comes to life in that episode. The gangster’s moll falls in love with the P.I., Castle’s character, and we have to find a way to escape from the gangster, who’s a really bad guy played by Mark Pellegrino. Of course, people who fall in love do things that people who fall in love do. [Laughs] We’ll see those two enjoying each other in a way thatCastle and Beckett haven’t figured out yet.

Fans often develop a bad reputation. The most aggressive usually the loudest forcing their opinion on anyone who’ll listen. Get a group of fans riled up and they can be a force to feared but give them a worthwhile cause to support and they just might surprise you.

Late last year CastleTV.net in association with the California Browncoats hosted a Castle Fan Charity Convention in Los Angeles. The event was attended by members of the cast and crew including showrunner Andrew Marlowe. While attendance was low the group raised a phenomenal $15,746.46 for 4 charities nominated by the guests.  Regular and guest cast members Seamus and Juliana Dever gave up time during their vacation to Australia to meet with fans in Sydney and Melbourne and between the two cities they raised further $4,513.14 bringing the total to over $20,000.

The event was a huge success raising a total of $15,746.46 for charity!  This was divided by the four charities nominated by our guests. The Young Storytellers Foundation, Best Friends Animal Society, Puppies Behind Bars and Oxfam.
