Hello my fantastic Castle Family. I’m Yasamin AKA @Castletasmic. I hope you’re all wonderful where ever you are. It has been truly an amazing journey with our favorite show Castle till this very day and I’m sure that we are all looking forward to many more years to come.

Last week I was involved in a conversation in regards to  what we, the fans, can do to promote our beloved show; to support and show our love and appreciation  not only to the incredible cast and crew of Castle, but to ABC as well. I thought about so many things since last week, but at last settled on the following idea and would like all of you, if you are interested to join me. I would like each and every one of you to be part of this project by following the simple steps below:

1. Write about your feelings and love for Castle. What makes you to look forward to Mondays or the day which Castle airs in your country! 250 words or less! Please don’t post anything in appropriate!
2. Include your name, Twitter ID, your State or Country and optionally your age.
3. Now the most important step !! Please attach a picture of your own hands with a shape of a heart as shown on this page.
4.  Please send your notes as well as the photo to AlwaysCastle2012@Yahoo.com

My plan is to make a book out of those wonderful notes. I plan to deliver a copy to ABC Studios and hope to present one to the Castle cast and crew at the Paley event March.9^th 2012.

You will all be the authors – the Richard Castles – of this book and I’m going to be the publisher – as much as I hate to say it, the Gina of this book!

So please start working and grab your magic pens and let’s make this possible!

My Spring semester will start by Feb.13^th, so in order to be able to get enough work done on this project the deadline for contributions will be February 15^th 2012!

The last three years have been filled with so many wonderful moments during Castle’s time on air, it’s hard to choose just one memorable event. If I were to choose a moment from the show itself, I think for me the most memorable would have to be the scene near the end of the pilot episode where Beckett whispers in Castle’s ear “You have no idea!” and turns her back and walks away, that was the moment I knew this show was going to be something special, what chemistry!

Because Castle is a high rated show in Australia the channel 7 network chose to delay the beginning of season 4 so that it wouldn’t be disrupted by the X-Factor (which is known to run overtime) and then the Australia Open which completely takes over the network for two weeks in January.

With the Australian Open ending tonight (Jan 29) there will be be a repeat of  the season 3 finale “Knockout” aired at 10:30pm (check your local guide as times may be different in some areas).

So if you’re in Australia be sure to watch tonight to get ready for the brand new Season 4 episode “Rise” next Sunday (5th Feb) at 9:30pm.

UK Update: We believe those in the UK can look forward to Castle season 4 beginning some time in March on Alibi Channel however if you’re in the UK you’re in the wonderful position of being able to watch Season 4 by buying the episodes on UK iTunes, each episode is released the same days as it airs in the US so it’s fantastic opportunity for those that can take advantage of it.

Another somewhat whimsical episode “An Embarrassment Of Bitches”  once again revealing why Castle is one of the premiere scripted dramas on Television.

The script by Rob Hanning was tight and reminded me of some of the best the series has produced. Thomas J. Wright directing brought out solid, shining performances from the entire cast, and it was fun to again see every cast member have a little screen time.

The episode begins with Castle at his loft surrounded by two of the women in his life, Alexis and Martha. One of the things that allows Castle to excel as a series, is the writers not kowtow to formula.  They treat the audience as intellectual equals and Hanning does an exceptional job with this exchange between the “worried papa” and his “precocious daughter” . The audience, of course, knowing that Rick is well aware that Alexis is the real responsible one here.

At the crime scene, we are treated to more snarkiness between Lanie Parrish and Javier Esposito, late of a passion filled relationship, and now trying to adjust back to life as co-workers and friends, the look between them suggesting they are moving closer but it will take some time.

Esposito’s burgeouning relationship with one of the suspects, Kay Cappucio, portrayed deftly by guest star Hilarie Burton, is particularly sweet. His physical attraction turning into one of respect after he glimpses behind the glamour curtain into her real life.

Who would kill a dog handler/breeder and why? The question of the hour. Through examination of the evidence, we start to see a complex situation where superficially you would supposevacuous individuals.

As the investigation moves forward, we are treated to not only espionage but drug cartels, paparazzi, reality stars, “dog people” and an assortment of characters only New York or Los Angeles could provide. The dead dog handler had been secretly training dogs to be drug detectors for the DEA. His death was the result of his being found out by the cartels and their retribution for his costing them millions in discovered product.

The sub story with Castleand Beckett sharing “custody” of the deceased’s beloved golden retriever gives the implication of more future entanglements for the two characters on a personal level, something I feel the writers are going to take a long time developing, if indeed, it ever does.

The all too brief appearance of Justin Hartley, Smallville‘s former Green Arrow, as the reality stars boyfriend and eventual found out murderer, and a wonderful appearance by former Star Trek: Deep Space Nine alum Nana Visitor as Dr. Patty Barker, a canine psychotherapist  shows again the Castle team ability to get fantastic guest stars.

All together one of the more enjoyable episodes this year and a bright ray of tongue-in-cheek vastly needed after so some heavy introspection this year.
