It’s finally been announced that UK will be seeing Castle in the Spring. The series has been picked up by UKTV to air on the crime network Alibi.

Oh great, a satellite/cable only channel
Good news for the UK, but I agree with Phil – why a satellite only channel? Don’t they think it’s good enough for terrestrial TV? Good job I’ve been able to see them in other ways!

OTOH, at least now I can point all my not-nano-techno-gizmo-wired friends to watch it….that is, if they have Sky. (So close, and yet so far…)
Agree, this deserves to be on a mainstream channel
This is seriously the best show on TV in ages. SO funny and warm, brilliant cast, great script. Nothing on TV in the UK touches it. Can’t understand why it is being buried in a sub level satellite channel. What is wrong with UK aquisitions? SO out of touch. Always end up having to resort to desperate measures for good TV!!!!
Maybe you should change that to the 49% of the UK who have access to satalite or cable will be seeing Castle in the spring!!

Yeah I agree, I’m surprised Sky1 wouldn’t pick it up, they could have paired it with Bones and seen the same kind of success Australia has seen with the two shows.
Jjust as well I’ve already seen them all… What a dumb channel to have it on, this show is brilliant. Sigh…
This is by far one of the best shows around – luckily although I am in the UK I have seen them up to series 2 but this should be coming to Sky1 next to my favourite series Bones and House not alibi. I think Sky1 will pick it up when they see how successful it gets.
I’d love to be updated as to exactly when we’ll be able to see Castle in the uk!

Don’t know about Sky1 picking it up – it should be picked up by one of the Freeview channels if they want maximum coverage. But I agree, one of the greatest shows on TV (well, currently on my computer, but SOON to be on my TV!). Needs a MUCH wider audience!!

I doubt that it will get picked up by any terrestrial channel, let alone Sky 1, because Alibi has such low viewing figures that it won’t get any publicity or pick up enough viewers to get it moved to a more popular channel. Having said that, I haven’t downloaded it and am looking forward to seeing what the fuss is all about.
Alibi are now advertising Castle (in ads but not on their website) as starting on Wednesday 7th April – a good night as it doesn’t clash with Bones, Lost, etc. I saw the first 2 episodes in Canada in May last year so I’ll be able to catch-up at last!
After taking away firefly from us, the least we could have is Nathan’s new show on terrestrial tv – I don’t have sky and not planning on getting it
Found Castle whilst in New Zealand recently, and one of the best shows ever, can’t wait till it gets to UK, but putting it on UKTV alib i might reduce the huge potential audience there would be if on Sky 1 or similar freeview channel
