I know that Castle has an iPhone but it almost seems as if Beckett's phone changes from episode to episode. Maybe I'm wrong, I'd like input from someone else. Does she have a slider, a flip, or an iPhone?

In episode 9 Love Me Dead it almost looks like she using a touch pad when Scarlett is scared and calls Castle (who is seated at this point) in the precinct, but in the walking out of the precinct scene the phone to her ear looks like a flip phone, just by the dimensions. However, in the episode 8 Kill the Messenger when she's seated on the corner of Montgomery's desk it look like she's playing with a slider…

Is it possible to have the wardrobe master on the set check in these forums now and then to confirm or verify these prop questions? That'd be wicked awesome.

Not sure about the other episodes but in episode 9 it was a Palm Pre cell phone.

The Palm Pre certainly explains her touching the phone's face, but I'm fairly certain she didn't have the Pre in previous episodes. Maybe we have a "Spot Beckett's Phone" scavenger hunt. Lol.

Yup.  This is like the 5th cell phone she used this season.  She used 3 different phones in Deep in Death alone.  And what's up with talking and driving? At least she used a rearview mirror bluetooth in Season 1.
