Beckett told Castle to take these nesting dolls, so he probably did what she told him to do and the nesting dolls made the only appearance in When The Bough Breaks episode. Although it's quite possible that they're standing somewhere in Castle's appartment.
Can't remember which episode it is, but I think the nesting dolls have made it into other episodes. I don't think they were lined up though, maybe inside the largest doll.

I must confess 
, the weather was lousy today, so I pulled out my season 1 DVDs to go elephant hunting. I only had to view as far as the third episode (Hedge Fun Homeboys) to catch a glimpse of one, so they've been around for awhile.

My MIL (who is hispanic) has a few elephant statues in her house – ONLY with the trunks up (and I think ONLY facing the entry/exit door) – they are good luck. But like I said – ONLY with the trunks up. Trunks down is BAD LUCK.

well i looked around using what others have posted already and tried to do screencaps of what i could find…
incidentally, the first pic was from season one, episode 7 where beckett is working on a court order was the only scene where the camera actually directly focused on her little elephants.
since those little guys show up so much, they should either have cameo or co-starring mention in the credits LOL

First of all, they need a close-up, I'd love to see the detailed look of each of them

Just rewatch Famou Last Words last night and I spot Kate's little elephants again. Its in the part after Castle escort Alexis out of the precint, turns back just to see Beckett staring at him. Not that clear shot but they're still there.

AWW! Oh my gosh they're so cute! I bet you're right about the dollar Admin! Haha. That's awesome. 
I don't know, I think the candy looks like M&M's to me, only cause it looks like there's some brown ones, which do they have brown skittles? Hmm….anyway. Thanks Admin, that made me smile.
