Okay, one thing I cannot get over is how awesome Kate's/Stana's coats have been–especially during season one! She's worn this black coat a few times throughout the first season, and a bit in season 2 as well, and I'm dying to find it! Any ideas?

Other great jackets:

- The black leather (?) jacket from "A Death in the Family" and possibly this season 2 promo shot.

- The red coat from "A Chill Goes Through Her Veins".

- The khaki-colored coat from the beginning of "Little Girl Lost". (Couldn't find a picture, but hopefully someone knows which one I'm talking about…)

I'm hoping they're not woefully out of my budget, because these are some pretty stylin jackets

The only help I can give is that I've read on various boards that women have found the black leather jacket she's been wearing recently at the GAP.

Wish I could be more help but I've looked at various clothes shops online and haven't had much luck finding any of them.

The one I am lusting after is the green leather trenchcoat. Modern but classic. Any clues on that one, fashion mavens?

I've been thinking to myself since becoming a fan of the show just how many coats does an NYPD detective need and just how many can one afford? Granted Beckett is definitely always stylin', but really? Perhaps she inherited some money from her mom and saved it? Personally, I love the red coat pointed out earlier and the light brown long coat that appears towards the end of "Double Down."

Which one is that? I had decided that none of her trench trenches (in non wool) were Burberry because I didn't notice the same same sleeve buckles as mine, but I'm blanking on her wool ones. I understand this and I think they are doing a better job of showing her in different clothes now that she has an apartment.  The clothes you wear to work as a cop have to be very functional.  She doesn't have the leisure of wearing more cutesy outfits at the precinct because of the nature of the job.  All that said, if you go back and look at the scenes at her apartment in Knockdown she has on a tee, jeans, and chucks on… then she has her shoes off when they are going through her mom's stuff.  At the very end of Lucky Stiff she is wearing jeans and a loose grey top when top when Castle comes over to talk about starting a scholarship fund in her moms name.

I would like to note- Castle falls into the same situation.  We very rarely see him in anything but button downed shirts and tailored jackets

does anyone know where she bought the dress in "Lucky Stiff" and also the suit she is wearing in the interrogation scene right after the club scene?
