Couldn´t find anything about it so far. Is it a real building? And if the answer is yes is it in LA or NY, does anyone know?

Does anyone know where it is in New York. I might travel to NY this year would be fun to take a photo from the outside while i´m there.

I think the building they show on the show is at 425 Broome St at the corner of Crosby Street. You can use google street to check it out. I think the best view is looking from Crosby south towards the intersection with Broom. Hope that helps.

Its always neat to see places on street view.

 

Street view can be my 'new best  friend' sometimes.

 

ETA: and just for fun….here is a pic on google maps comparing the distance away from the 9th precinct (the real one in NYC; the outside of the building was used for the first season) and the building that BEFU found.

 

Castle's 'apartment' is on the bottom of the map and the precinct is on the top of the map.

Wasn't it said somewhere that the set they used for the inside of Castle's loft was the same used for Mick St. John's apartment in Moonlight?  I don't remember where I heard it, though…

They are actual NY Streets.  I gave a couple of examples above.

EDIT:  sorry re-read your post.  Chances are those are LA streets.  There is a video on Youtube from The Fifth Bullet where Beckett confronts the dude about the painting in the trunk.  That is shot on an LA street.
