I am too. Like Beckett's necklace in Always Buy Retail right before the sting mission to get Baylor. The clasp is on the right side of her neck in one shot, then it's gone, then it comes back. Or this one that I just laughed at.

Considering that NYC doesn't have a 12th precinct, I can understand why they would want it to be referred to as that but at least fake the building too.

I don't suggest a total marathon. I just spent four hours watching Castle. I don't suggest watching it for mistakes. I never noticed any the first ten or so times that I watched but then I was looking that closely at the episodes. Now I'm like "can I step back and not notice little mistake?"

So to go back to the original post, Castle does use the cups.

 I found them in my Castle marathon. They are in Home Is Where The Heart Stops.

It makes me wonder when exactly the cup thing went into effect.

All coffee in NYC is not drunk from the to-go cups I linked, but the street vendors usually distribute them and the cops and the street vendors have an obvious alliance.  Popular NYC breakfast is a buttered roll and a coffee from a street vendor.  Next time you're there, get in line.

Haha no, but it was empty which implied that someone had indeed had coffee from it.

Plus it was a really quick screen shot to get. You'd have to be watching with a fine tooth comb to notice it the first time through.
