In the episode "Always Buy Retail" there was a scene in his office and behind his desk there was a painting of staircases and banisters. Does anybody know what the painting is called, who painted it?

I can tell you that the image is French, Castle's production deisgner Alfred Sole got permission to blow it up really big to use as the frame for Castle's office, it was chosen because it gives a sense of depth to the room and the whole spiral staircase thing seemed to fit well with the mystery writer aspect of Castle's character

The stair case in the back ground is a picture from William Curtis Rolf.
The Viola Gallery has copy's for whoever would like them. They come in 3 sizes I believe 17x22 / 32x48 and the one behind Castles desk is the 48x72 and that is 5000.00 dollars, you can call 1 323 954 0418 that is the number to the Gallery. Hope that helps you. Later Brooker.
