UPDATE: A limited edition (500) poster print edition of this photograph is being made available exclusively through the voilia! Gallery.  All the details are posted here.  

The posters will go on sale on December 1st, 2010 for $134 (US) plus postage.  As you can see from the information posted below (from last year) this is fantastic value!

 

I finally have the information about the staircase photograph in Castle's office!

The photograph is called "Lucee Charlemagne Staircase, Down View" and it is from Voila! Art for the Modern Eye.

You can contact Voila! Gallery at (323) 954-0418 for details.

They come in 3 sizes I believe 17×22 / 32×48 and the one behind Castles desk is the 48×72 and that is $5000 dollars

There's been discussion on this somewhere in the forums before. I was able to determine that the image was by a French artist and was from a book that they got permission to blow up really big. I will try and remember to follow up on this because a few people seem to be interested.

my bad I never noticed that staircase pic before but looked up Admin's set visit photos
yep there it is==my first thought I took that pic!!
mine isn't that good of course but very similar

will ask Admin if I can post it–and HOW to post it-where to post it

Sure you can post it.  To load an image to your post, click on the image button in the toolbar, then click the folder icon next to the Image URL box… see how you go from there, if you can't figure it out let me know and I'll post details instructions on the forum somewhere.

The photograph is by William Curtis Rolf (http://www.williamcurtisrolf.com/) titled "Staircase, Lycee Charlemagne". The Viola! website (http://www.voilagallery.com/di…..8&WC=2) lists two sizes: 32x48 and 17x22. I have no info on price – perhaps someone else can research that. Hope this helps. Cheers!

The smaller versions are cheaper but as it's classified a piece of art, I doubt you'll find it cheaper.

Love the piece, let me know if you ever need any artwork for any of your sets.  I never could find the piece but came up with a beautiful alternative of roughly the same size and beautifully framed for $1,400.  We are a contract art and framing vendor/art consultant so we can give you a variety of options at minimal costs.

I'm giving hints to family members for the holiday, so I'm hoping!  I couldn't tell from the link, Admin…will US orders be placed by phone or will there be an online link on Dec 1?  I'm wondering for family members who don't have a paypal account and may need to set one up.
