In what other roles can you see Nathan and/or Stana?

Today I was thinking abput what other roles Nathan and/or Stana could play.

Years ago I got to see a stage play named "Love Letters" by A. R. Gurney. It's a play which is really simple, two people who write letters to each other over the course of nearly 50 years. There is almost no staging, all the emotions are transported through the voices of the actors.

I think Nathan and Stana would be perfect for this.

So, where can you see them – alone or together?

Bond Girl for Stana.

"Educating Rita" (film or on stage, original is theatrical play by Willy Russell and there was a movie version later – in the 80's) – Nathan would be great as Dr Frank Bryant and Stana would be just perfect as Rita.

That 'Love Letters' play (well, reading) would be perfect for them but they are still a little too young I think considering the years the letters are written in. But I would pay money to see that.

I remember it was on stage in London many many moons ago first with Jonathan & Jennifer Hart (Robert Wagner & Stephanie Powers – attitude much?, did not ingratiate themselves with their fans in London, never stopping, never a nice word to the waiting crowds), then Elaine Stritch and George Peppard took over – totally different cattle of fish, took their sweet time to talk to fans before and after the show. I generally watched it from the sidelines as their theatre stage door lead to the same square where I was waiting to pick up a friend who was appearing in Blood Brothers at that time. And my claim to fame? I held George Peppard's plate and sandwich while he signed autographs for the waiting crowd.

Ages are "wrong" for the movie version of Nicolas Sparks "the Notebook". Same age problem doing a more "literal" version of the book, the Notebook.  Those two characters had some knockdown, drag out fights and I can see Castle and Beckett …er… Nathan and Stana doing the same – only hotter.

Is there a role for Nathan in Wonder Woman. Would love to see Stana in that costume.

How about the tv show: the Honeymooners?

They missed the boat when they cast someone else as Wonder Woman instead of Stana.  I know she's already got a TV show, but that part is tailor made for her.  She'd also be awesome reprising her role as the Canadian spy in the next Bond movie.

Lara Croft?  I could see that.  And if they ever made a movie out of one of Dan Brown's (author of The DaVinci Code) books called Digital Fortress, I hope Stana is free because she'd be great for the female lead – a brilliant and beautiful mathematician and code breaker at NSA.

Oh yea, i read the book and you are right – and not a big stretch from being a detective to a code breaker / spy.  She would be great – oh wait she already is!!

I used to think of Kate Hudson for the part of the code breaker in the movie version of that book, but then I got into Castle and thought – why not Stana?  Nathan wouldn't be bad for the part of the male lead – the language professor – but for some reason I can't see that working.

I see Nathan doing an Indiana Jones movie or Alan Quatermain or Han Solo in a Star Wars movie, now that would be bonkers. Or a reprisal of Mal in Firefly. [Image Can Not Be Found][Image Can Not Be Found][Image Can Not Be Found]

Stana…Yeah Lara Croft sounds about right or a Bond girl but one who has more to do than just having a brief appearance.

When I check comic book sites I'm surprised how many people want to see Stana as Elektra.

I can see her as Lara Croft, Talia Al Ghul, as well as a Bond Girl.

Well, at this point, my OCD has progressed to the point that I could watch them in just about anything.  XD

I'd love to see them in The Thomas Crown Affairhttp://www.imdb.com/title/tt0155267/   Pierce Bronsen and Rene Russo did a wonderful job in the remake, but Nathan Filion and Stana Katic toe to toe trying to outwit eachother…  Oh yeah – I can see that!

And what about Bonnie and Clyde http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0061418/  or The Great Gatsby  (I like the Toby Stephens remake) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0210719/    I'd love to see them in a period piece like that!  Imagine Stana in 1920s fashion…

The Goodbye Girlhttp://www.imdb.com/title/tt0076095/    I can see both of them making magic with Neil Simon's dialogue.

Eliot Garfield: Jesus, I am so scared. I've spent twenty years building up my ego, and when I really need it, it locks itself in the john.
Paula McFadden: It'll come back to you, trust me.

Ooooh, now I have to go back and watch Goodbye Girl…  And Thomas Crown Affair…  Really! I do!

Edit:

I just thought of another one…  The Virginian  but go back to the original book not the TV series, which I didn't care for much.  (Bill Pullman did a version that stuck closer to the book on a tight budget.  http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0164962/)  I'd love to see Nathan Fillion on a horse again dressed as a western gunslinger and Stana would make a beautiful Molly Stark…
