Today I noticed that one of the Castle extra's also was an extra in Rizzoli and Isles episode (2.06).
A taller blond caucasian woman wearing a dark uniform.

In fact both shows more than on one occasion share actors and/or extras. Makes me wonder what the connection is. The casting agency or what?

Did she have really short hair? I think I know who you're talking about, and I was wondering the same thing…

Yep, short blond hair.

Besides what happened with the extras at the 12th precinct? They used to get a line or two.

Could be they use the same extras casting company.  And if one show only needs the extras for a day or two it would make sense for them to moonlight on another show.  Though I imagine most of this season's Rizzoli and Isles episodes have already been shot.

I think yes! Casting agencies are responsible for it.
