Well I don't think that Beckett is going to be talking about it in this week's episode anyway. I believe she talks about it in episode five. If you want Admin, maybe some of us who own Heat Wave could each take some time from our schedule and type up a chapter. Then email it to you and you wouldn't have to miss out…

I offered to send her my book, and I wasn't kidding. I will find the funds for postage and to buy another one. However, I don't think we should be preparing and sending electronic copies to anyone.

The book is #28 on the NYTBSL this week. That's a whole lot better than I expected, given all the pre-orders were part of the first week, and they hadn't promo'd it on the show yet. I expect it will climb higher on next week's list, because of the purchasing flurry prompted by last week's episode.

Not on the show, but ABC is promoting "Heat wave" in their promo ads, you can see it at ABC's website in the Videos area.

oh, I think the whole Beckett/Castle interaction over the book during the show can be considered "promo" in the sense that it raises interest in the book. Then ABC reminds folks that the book is real, and there is burst of activity on Amazon, etc…

What an accomplishment for the book/show. That is a huge jump on the charts.
I hope this means we'll be getting more books. No way the creators can ignore the success now.

Its back up to 15 on the NYTBS and should rise next week since it is back in stock. Anyone have any idea about actual unit sales? I'm just curious.

I'm still pretty shocked that it's done so well. I heard it's in its fifth printing–meaning enough people bought it that they had to go and do four more printings of who knows how many books!
It's so great, especially considering it's essentially a TV tie-in book. Not to mention Castle isn't the most advertised show on the network (to say the least), and people are still picking up the book regardless if they've seen it or not. I've read a few reviews on Amazon from people who didn't even know Castle was a show until after they read it, and started watching because of HW.
Pretty cool, hope TPTB realize what they've got
