I was lucky enough to get my copy early and just got through reading it.

The first thing that struck me is this time it looks like a "real" book. Not as thick as the copies we see on screen, but a definite step up. The story and writing, over all, is also a big step up. There are some nice reflective character scenes and some really cool references to the TV show. Including a nod to FF. The murder mystery is solid and it's interesting to see how willing Rook is to let Nikki dictate the speed of their relationship. It's quite revealing as we, the viewer and reader, can relate it to their alter egos. Rook's moonlighting gig was just too funny.

I hope it makes on the NYT top 10 bestsellers again. That would be awesome and so deserving. 

Loved this book and was sorry it was over. I also loved all the details of Manhattan. Richard Castle really knows the city.

Awesome!  Thanks for the review.  That's one thing I too noticed when reading the previewed chapters on ABC – that the writing, the mystery, all the tie ins really elevated it above Heat Wave.  I'm really looking forward to reading the rest (and I'm glad to hear it's longer!)

I got an email from Amazon.com today that my copy is in the mail.  I can't wait to read all of it!  And for those of you who haven't been reading it on ABC's website, I agree with nalissa – it is a step above Heat Wave.  At least first 8 chapters.
