Hopefully it's only because the Emmy year for which they would first be eligible in their Castle roles is still upcoming

Don't know about previous chances for Oscars or Emmys but they and other Castle cast and crew are on the nomination ballots this year, so keep your fingers crossed that they will be nominated. Looks like they will announce the nominees on July 16th.

Their facial expressions/ability to emote so well with them have been a big part in making the show so attractive, I think. The non-verbal communication that goes on is so spot on that it's like another form of dialogue. I love it

I agree the facial expressions really bring alot to the various scenes. If they aren't practiced, both of them are really good at improv.

Definitely. I think improv is a fabulous talent, and if an actor can 'roll with the punches' and make up stuff on the spot then they've got another great weapon in their arsenal.

Most the time with script there are acting notes along with the dialogue; as an example: Character1: (a smile and nods) yes, that would be correct. But as far as childish grins and things like that it's up to the actors how to play it.

Definately agree with you here. What's even cooler is some actors just have it naturally and it can really show. Man I wish I could learn a trick or two with them!

just so happens Sept. 21st is my B-day, and gotta say Castle season 2 is the best present I can think of!!!! Love the chemistry of the whole cast. If I had a question I guess it would be… "Who's the girl in this relationship?" cause Det. Beckett's pretty bad ass!!!!

Yes for sure! It's a great talent. I used to watch Whose Line is it Anyway all the time because those guys were just awesome at coming up with the funny.
