Thanks for posting that, it has some great quotes. I especially love the bit about how Castle looks at every day as a field trip . . . I think that's a great attitude to have! (I aspire to be more like that.)
I have to agree with you and Nathan. You should have fun every day in life and keep the child in you alive. As a woman who regularly has to remind my husband to share his toys I am pretty blessed. We are REALLY lucky that we can work from home so our home office looks more like a playland than a place where work gets done.
There are nerf guns, an air cannon, play dough, bubbles, light sabers, practice swords, legos, a massive amount of silly putty- did you know you can order it by the pound and man can that stuff bounce, various Star Wars, Firefly, Battlestar Galatica, Halo, WOW, Quake, etc action figures, a foosball table, an air hockey table, A mummy figure with one eye that we removed and put our webcam in- if they could see us during conference calls we would never get another job! Then there are the tech toys which I don't even try to keep track of as long as it all works when I need it to and several computer servers and laptops.
My husband has an office he has to go into a couple times a week and it looks about the same except he has an electric scooter and roller blades next to his desk that he won at JAVA ONE. Luckily most software engineers are just as playful. So we are big believers in playing here and have been known to leave the house to go buy school uniforms and end up at the beach.
