Doz, you conveyed well what I was trying to express…thank you!  There has to be something in between the cold shoulder and Kate in pursuit of Castle.  I'd hate for any growth by Kate last season to be totally thrown out the window.
I actually find it believeable that Kate changed her mind in the finale even after her speech in Food to Die For.  The series of events in that episode…the threat of Castle leaving their work partnership (which she realized was so significant to her life at that point, as Kate's job is still most of what's important in her life)…caused Kate to make that big shift and take that leap of faith.  I didn't expect her to profess love for Castle, but I expected her to open a door he might walk through and let him know she had broken it off with Demming.

I hate that she followed her heart more than her head in that instance and got shot down because I think that a balance of the two is wonderful in life.  But even she must realize that it wasn't Castle's fault that he left.  Although she can't ignore Gina either, and her presence absolutely has to remind Kate that she still has a lot of unanswered questions about Castle's romantic history.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I don't want Kate to wall herself off or be a doormat.  I want her to continue to be strong and fabulous and awesome at her job.  I want her to continue to keep her heart open to the possibility of Castle but not wait for him….yet hope that he reveals his past and his feelings in time.

 Agreed. Well said dmcw.

Many good suggestions here! Agree with most of you. I just hope they'll get over the hurting and have more FUN again! Not that I mind the hurting that has been, I just hope they work it out.

Should be easily achieved as soon as Castle learns that Demming is history! In my head I see him getting to know that, and next scene have him sitting down at Beckett's desk, giving her coffee, and asking "So what's the new case about? Vampires? Zombies? Oh, I know: A person with 7 fake id's who was killed with and ice bullet?", smiling at her like they were back at the "Wrapped up in Death" team feeling. Beckett gives him a disbelieving look for a second or two, then reaches for the case file with a small smile, and off they go…

Yeah, I know it's too easy… but I just think they can get back to work quite easy, and deal with the relationship stuff over time.

I wish I knew how to quit you.

I  think I've posted this here (I know I posted it elsewhere) but here's what I tweeted to Terri:

if I was Castle, I'd leave G in the elevator, go back to Kate & say: "have a nice summer is what you write in a year book…

…it's not what you take someone aside to tell them privately. What did you *really* want to tell me?"

Castle writer TerriEdda tweet:

Spoke to Rick Castle and he said he had a BLAST on the fourth. He asked about you and said to send his love.

Nice Laugh

If you love @WriteRCastle… it's time to start paying attention to his tweets… #Castle

Think this is related to the Comic Con mystery or some season 3 clues?

I'm going to put this in a spoiler, I'm not sure if their are people out there who don't want to be spoiled by what's in the tweets.

Seen as the last several tweets are regarding Gina, I am wondering if they are now addressing the Gina situation in the Hampton's with Castle because the writers have now determined whats going to be happening at the beginning of the season.  Now they can address the relationship and set things up for the season premier.  Or maybe I'm totally off base.  It's just that we've had two months of dribbles that really didn't tell us anything and now suddenly Gina's taking center stage.

I wonder, reading the tweets, if Gina will have an affair with this "artist".  I may be jumping the gun, but as Castle was wondering if he could "believe" her, maybe not.  As we still don't know what went wrong with their marriage, maybe there are some trust issues.

Sounds like a murder mystery is coming up, not so sure they'd put anything in the tweets that would relate to and have to be part of the next season.  Though I could be wrong on that, they do like to do innovative things.

It's hard to say whether they will put in info regarding next season.  Twitter is incredibly popular but there are many many people who don't twitter, myself included.  Regardless, those of us checking out WriteRCastle are definitely going to have more info, the question is–Will it be relevant?

I guess it'll be a stand alone murder mystery like last summer. After all, twitter is about what happens here and now, not two months in the future. But if you don't follow the tweets, then you don't get the full Castle experience, I'm just saying… It's not just a tv-series…

I would like for Beckett's character to remain as in the finale. It would stand to reason that, having 'discovered' her feelings, that her tough girl act would be harder to keep up, or on the contrary, she would go full beserk mode as a way to keep her mind under control. But I'm hoping for a crack here and there. One, because it would make her more interesting. Second, because it would take her away from the super-cop direction it has gone all S2 which, in my mind, is not reality – certainly not in New York. (For law enforcement unreality Nikki Heat and the mind of Richard Castle should suffice) And third, because it would be a torment for her, and unlike Nathan, Stana's strength in comedy is showing frustration. Nathan's relaxed delivery is better suited for witty delivery. Not that she can't, but to do the witty delivery – and they tried in S2 – is kind of redundant; it's better for her if it comes from attitude, the more jaded the better.
