I've been thinking, and I not sure that it's been brought up, I did not see a topic thread on this. How many of Rick Castles book titles do we know other than his Nikki Heat books? I've decided to see how many I can suss out. Some have been mentioned in episodes, some I've seen in episodes, and a few I've seen on video interviews. This is what I have.
Heatwave
Naked heat
A skull at springtime
A calm before the storm
Hell hath no fury
When it comes to slaughter
Storm fall
A hail of bullets
At dusk we die
What have I missed?

I knew I had seen the topic before, a long long time ago… , and after a bit of thinking searched for A skull at springtime and ticked Match Phrase – didn't think it would be used in many other kinds of thread. Only two topics came up… the old and the new. But it's a good thing to revive, there are probably mentions in newer episodes of more book titles…

Didn't the latest episode show a row of Castle's books when he was writing? I couldn't make out more than one or two as it was passed over quickly. Did anyone notice if there were any "new" ones?

The ones at the beginning of 3x10 are
When It Comes To Slaughter (3 copies), Hell Hath No Fury (2 copies), A Calm Before The Storm, At Dusk We Die, and Storm Fall. So going by the wiki, nothing new, unless you count A Calm…

no new ones. Watched online and paused as they were going past. Multiple copies of a couple of books. Didn't look like anything new.

Arrrrghhh, still two weeks left before another new episode! It's gonna feel like the longest holiday ever. (And at the same time, it will pass too fast as usual, making me wish the vacation lasted looonger.) It's not that I lack things to do, but I need my Castle fix! I thank all fanfic writers who give me a new little Castle flavored story every day. I have another "in Death"-book ready as a Christmas present to myself. And I replay favorite scenes from different episodes (the "button, cute back then, flirt with Brian"-scene is the current winner).
Just now I played the latest episode, then the first (Flowers for your grave) and then the latest again…. wow – these people sure have changed during the years, and not just the length of Beckett's hair! Most obvious is of course Beckett, they've totally changed her colors too. Lanie is certainly more glamourous than in episode 1. Esposito looked rougher before, but I have a feeling they're getting back to that, with more of an army vibe to him lately. Ryan I feel is pretty much the same, except in the first scene with him when Seamus was ill and Ryan looked rather pale. I liked Castle's more scruffy unshaven look from episode 1…
Anyone else counting the days? Or minutes?

Yeppers Me counting days hours and minutes, so sad having to have this long break from castle but not just castle but other shows too that aren't coming back on till new year,Law and order svu(wed.),Make it or break it (Tues. Spring 2011 Urgh) Csi NY Blue Bloods(Fri), So there goes Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday's top chef all stars but that doesn't come on till 10:00 and Friday Nothing
So Since no castle I've taken up watching The Closer at least it's got police and detective drama in it and kyra sedgewick is a fabulous actress ( not as great as Stana or Nathan )So if anybody wants to watch that It's on tonight on TNT at 9:00 and then from 10:00 -11 I'll be watching House Hunters and HH international but at least for tonight I got B&J Choclate Fudge Brownie for snack.
If I'm not stuck watching crap tv then I'm ethier scrapbooking with fam or counted cross stitch or filling up more pages in my castle quote book How bout yall what are you doing to pass the time?

Absolutely. It's a busy and fun time of year, but I certainly could use a new Castle distraction from the holiday stressors. I am looking forward to the double header repeat tonight, though…2 of my favorite episodes, and I know what happens, so I don't need to be tortured by the ending of 2x24 .
I received the staircase print as a holiday gift yesterday from family. It is very, very cool. Looking forward to getting that framed tomorrow. And I've been missing those season 1 Castle episodes, so I may have to do a marathon sometime soon…
