Thank you! When the British and the US Americans can't agree upon what is the correct spelling, how can anyone expect us from the rest of the world to master the English language?
LOL do a google search for "John Cleese's Letter to America" it explains the whole spelling issue and its brilliantly funny.
I'm very glad I was brought up speaking English, it would be a really confusing language to learn.

Yeah- To be honest- I really hate it when people can't punctuate or spell properly just because it's the Internet.
I'm fine with faces :D and things like "lol" but people who are like
"LYKE OMG I SOOO LOVE THIS SHOW ROFLLOL!!!111!!!!!"
I really feel like I need to slap them.
Totally agree Graffiti, it drives me nuts.
The 'excuse' I'm just a teenager does not wash with me, you want to play with the adults then grow up, neither does 'its just the internet' or 'its ony fanfic', sorry but if you can't be bothered doing your best effort then don't torture us with it.
Everyone makes typos, particularly in chat but it does bug me on the forums.
I love both of you right now.

It makes posts a lot easier to read and understand. Often posts read as one sentence and lose a lot of meaning. Capitals at the start of a sentence and periods at the end make a huge difference.

Don't be too hard on the spelling snafu's and strange grammer, though. We have folks on this site whose native language is NOT English. As long as they can "communicate" their ideas, I'm not a fan of coming down on someone because of spelling or grammar, especially if they're a non-native speaker. Then, too, some of us type a tad faster than our brains/fingers can handle and we end up with a few typos…especially in the chat room when speed is of the essence on occasion.
For me it isn't spelling we have spell check on our computers. Mine is that I am visually impaired and sometimes I can't see the spelling error even if I have someone in my home check it for me before I post. Sometimes it is a letter missing or a word is merged with another. So this is another reason some people might have spelling errors being visually impaired. We don't know what is happening in the lives of all people posting to forums and message boards and what their situations are to point fingers and critize spelling etc in a public arena.

My husband and I are both huge fans. He is in his early forties and I am in my early thirties. I know of another friend who watches and he is close to sixty.

100% Castle fans at my house, 30's, 40's, ages 6 & 8. It's on too late for us to watch as a family, but I always promise my 8 year old he can watch it on Hulu.com the day after. Plus it gives me a chance to preview it and head him off if I think it's questionable. I know plenty of viewers in the retirement age. It really has an appeal to all ages.
In fact my 6 year old is already quoting Castle episodes. They adore Vampire Weekend and have made sure all their friends see it when they come over. Then they go out and play Vampires and Werewolves.

Hi! I'm really bad at the whole board introduction part but I'm mid to late twenties, female.
I didn't read all 7 pages of this thread, just the first one and this. Did davidsmom write the article after all?

I just found this forum, but have been watching Castle since the first episode. I've been trying to get my husband and new son-in-law interested. I am 59 3/4 (my husband reminded me the other day) and live about 30 miles of the site of this year's Super Bowl.

I'm forty nine, female and live in a major city in Texas. Love the chemistry of these two and smart writing on show.Thank you writers, producers and actors (and crew…)for giving me a show I can love. My only suggestion to whom it concern on the show, is that the actors be encouraged to annunciate their words, and speak louder than a whisper…dialogue is being 'missed' because of these elements, and I don't want to miss a thing!
Thanks for the fun

You guys who are having trouble "hearing" the dialogue…try using the close captioning on your TV. I have a slight hearing impairment and find that using the cc on my TV allows me to enjoy the show, catch all the dialogue, without having to turn my TV up so loud that my neighbors complain.

I'm a fan who will be entering her twenties earlier this year. My mom also watches the show on a more casual basis than I do, and she's in her late 40's.
