Actually, if you look at other series the first week of their release, they've done much better, Castle's DVD numbers actually seem to be a bit disappointing to me. Terminator which is a cancelled show did better and that's a concern.
It's good to be positive about it, but just be careful that that doesn't trick people into thinking Castle is doing really well and doesn't need any work to make sure it stays on the air.
Keep convincing people to buy the DVDs, keep convincing people to watch live (if they have a Neilsen box, tie them to the chair so they have to watch LOL) and keep encouraging people to rewatch the episodes via Hulu.

I think it's a good showing for the fact that it has mainly an older viewing audience. I'm very shocked it beat out The Mentalist.
The Big Bang Theory really gained steam over the summer and is paying off this season. Terminator has a cult following like I haven't seen in a while. I didn't realize that those Terminator fans are boycotting Dollhouse (have you seen those ratings) because Fox kept that show over Terminator which had better numbers.
By no means does it means Castle is doing great and we shouldn't keep spreading the word but I thought it was a solid outing for the first week. Word of mouth can only help.
