OfflineI loved the audio commentaries the best lol. I love the little tidbits they threw in about the scenes that were being filmed and (only in the pilot) where they were filmed. I had semi-forgotten that part of the pilot was filmed in New York and the other parts were filmed in LA. The guys all joked that you can tell which is which by the length of Stana's hair. Which when I looked closer at it, is true. Her hair is about an inch (maybe two) longer in the scenes that were filmed in LA. And for those who dont want to look that closely lol they are also the scenes that contain Det. Ryan.

OfflineI always love the commentaries. Love hearing the cast and/or crew commenting on different things happening in the scene or something the actors added or whatever. They always have little gems in there.
Love the bloopers too but they're always too short for me.
ABC did a very good job with this DVD set.

OfflineI went to Borders to buy the set Wednesday, and they were sold out! I was so bummed, but I suppose that's a good thing for Castle. So I went to FYE, some electronics place, and the sales clerk says, "Someone was just talking about that today. It's the guy from Firefly, right?" and I'm thinking, cool! Lots of people know about it! And then the clerk says, "Yeah, we don't really carry the obscure shows." Blurgh. So I went home empty-handed. Have to wait until sometime this weekend when my roommates are going into town to Target so I can check there (our college town is so tiny that there are virtually no franchises here, let alone anything that would carry any season that's not at Grey's Anatomy status, and I have no car). But I'd really like to know, is it worth owning the set? I'd only be getting it for the special features (which I love!), since I already have all of the episodes on iTunes. Or are they so short that I should just wait a month or two until our little hole in the wall video store has it available to rent?
Obscure? Did you tell her it was a prime time ABC show? I'm thinking she was thinking it was connected to Firefly or something *mumble grumble*
Don't forget the commentaries, I always love those and if there are a couple of commentaries on a DVD it makes it a lot more likely I'll buy it

OfflineSo excited when mine came and started watching immediately. Loved the commentary. Had no idea the problems they encountered filming on two coasts. No wonder they have little mistakes we obscessed fans notice. As to the bloopers, we were robbed. Only 2 minutes! Really, Castle probably had an hour of bloopers himself.

I don't even know what he was thinking! Was quite irked, but didn't get to give him a piece of my mind (whatever that would have been, lol) because I was in a rush.
Anyway, just got my set today! My roommate had to go to Target, so I had her buy it for me while she was out. As soon as she had it home I was watching the bloopers and commentaries. I've only seen the commentary that Stana and Nathan are in, but I enjoyed it. Molly Q. was cute, and fun to listen to. Stana was really quiet, but so eloquent! I felt like I was listening to royalty every time she spoke. Everyone paid her so many compliments, and she was always so quiet it makes me wonder if it made her uncomfortable. Someone brought it up and she very quietly said "thank you." It was really sweet. Nathan was hilarious, as usual–his introduction was great. Made me LOL. And loved the little bit at the end where he said he was going to sing his rendition of the commentary. Stuck a little bit on Dr. Horrible's commentary, hehe.
Bloopers were entirely too short, but I'm grateful for them nonetheless. A show like Castle needs them

Can't wait to see the behind the scenes and commentary!
lol

Love the commentaries and agree, the bloopers are definitely too short. And it's a great pity they didn't include the deleted scenes, although they're mentioned on the outside cover.
