Surprisingly enough, I think time is passing quite quickly. Maybe because we've had quite a lot of spoilers and interviews since Knockout. And also the tweets from the cast and crew on Twitter, the behind the scenes pictures from season 4 on Tumblr, etc. It helps make the wait a little less long.

I've rewatched almost all Castle episodes in the last two months, in and out of order. [Image Can Not Be Found] Will probably do it again until Sept.19th.

So you guys take it rather easy. I'd wish I could agree with that. Thank the gods for the spoilers and peaks since they make the wait a little easier.
Then again when I'm reading a book in bed I always tend to read till the end even when it gets light again and tell myself never to do that again.

In addition to my season 1 and 2 dvd's I still have all the episodes from season 3 recorded so I've just been watching when I can. I've probably watched the show premiere episode about 20 times this summer. But I just LOVE everything about it. There are alots of great lines and wonderful interaction with Castle, Alexis and Martha….it remains one of my top 3 episodes of the series.

My vacation last week helped.  I had serious Castle withdrawal, but being forced to focus on other things was probably a good thing.  [Image Can Not Be Found] 

I've got season 1 and 2 on DVD and a couple of co-workers and I are going to be having "team building" lunches for the rest of the summer watching Castle episodes.  Haha

I think she's scared because all men in her life were always "one foot out the door-relationships", Kate has build up this walls around her heart since the day her mother died and the only person in the world who could completely break down this walls is Castle. I think he came further to her heart then any other man before and if Kate would jump into a relationship with him she would completely lose her walls and this would make her completely vulnerable because deep in her heart she's just Kate and not the strong and independend Detective Beckett. She's afraid that Castle would totally destroy her if this relationship won't work when she's in such a vulnerable state. I think Kates fears are based in Castle's past because he's divorced two times and she still doesn't know the real reason.

Yeah, those are probably the two main reasons. Her fear of being happy because of her mother's death, and her fear of being with him because of his past complicated love life – and all his flings and one-night-stands. I remember what she said in "Food to Die For" :

"Of course he makes you feel alive, but eventually you know he’s just going to let you down. So why risk it?"

I think she's still sort of "testing" him, she wants to make sure that she could trust him for a serious long lasting relationship. That's one of the reasons why she's with Josh. With him, it's safe. She knows he's not gonna break her heart. The other reason she's with him is because it's easy. He doesn't know her as well as Castle does. So, it's not too risky. She can keep her walls up.

I agree with everyone here.  Don't forget Castle correctly pointed out to Beckett in the finale that she's scared of finding out who she is without having her mom's murder hanging over her and when it comes to Castle, she's also scared of him hurting her.  Plus, as she said in the first season, she considers herself a "one and done" type of girl, so she's treading lightly to make sure he is her "one and done" before jumping into things with him. 

As for how i'm holding up, remarkably well.  I came up with a great new fan fiction story that I'll post shortly and a fair amount of my time has been writing and tweaking it.  Letting the characters play around in my mind has helped a lot.
