So I've been rewatching ep 3 and noticed there's kind of a glaring error in the story line.
They are able to find the drug dealer because someone phoned 911 when they heard the gun shot. When they find the blood pool, Esposito states that the 911 caller called from about 50 yards away. At that distance, even late at night, she should've been able to see there was a group of people at the bench and that the drug dealer dude came running from the wrong direction?
Also, if 911 is called, shouldn't they have shown up and found the body before Brandon had a chance to come back and move it?

While the above bothers me about the episode, I still liked it. Particularly the scene in the interview room at the end when Castle spins the story and gets the guy to confess. It was kind of a nice circle, when at the beginning he didn't get why Beckett wasn't just asking pointed questions, and the chief showed how she was getting the guy to place himself at the scene, etc. I think most of the episodes show how he's a quick learner and a really good people reader.

Excellent point, akajb. Castle is learning fast from his relationship with Beckett. In this interview, Beckett looks over at Castle, right before Castle takes his turn at interviewing the Kid, and winds up getting the confession "Exactly". What a contrast from episode One when Castle was mostly goofing and not asking questions. Mostly what I really, really love about this episode is the ear pulling scene with Beckett calmly talking on the phone, and Castle at her mercy, twisting around in such a cute way! Love that scene.

Unless you're actually intending to shout, can I suggest that you please avoid typing in all caps as it's more difficult for people with vision issues to read (and it's considered shouting to type in all caps on forums etc). Thanks
On the issue you raise, I think someone said Detective Ryan is holding/reading one of Castle's books at some point in every epiosde, I need to watch them all again and look out for that.

Interesting… I started skimming through the episodes again to see if I can find this. So far I've done the second half:
Ep 6 – When Alexis and Meredith show up at the police station Ep 7 – When Kate is writing the court order Ep 8 – When they are discussing Lee Wax's email, there is a copy of one of his books on the desk. Ep 9 – When Castle and Kate arrive at the precinct and meet up with Ryan. He's holding the book again when he, Castle and Esposito are watching Kate and Will interview Dave Ellers. Ep 10 – When Ryan, Esposito, Castle and Beckett are looking through the one way mirror at the plastic surgery woman.

Ok I've skimmed/watched the rest… what a good way to avoid writing. :P
Ep 1 – When Kate hands Esposito and Ryan all of Castle's books. Ep 2 – When Kate and Castle arrive back at the precinct after talking to the husband about his affair (the discussion about being happily married) Ep 3 – When Eposito, Ryan, Kate and Castle are talking at the precinct and Castle says that one of the kids did it. Ep 4 ?? Ep 5 ??
I can't find scenes in epsiodes 4 and 5. So someone else should take a look and see if I missed it someone.
