Give us the grace to accept with serenity (with occasional outbursts of squeeing),

each long wait for the next Castle episode,

courage to find any and all things related to Castle online and share them with my fellow OCD’ers,

And the wisdom to share Castle with anyone who will listen!

1. We admit we are powerless to resist Castle – that our lives have become fixated on all things Castle.

2. Come to believe that the Powers that be at ABC can only restore us to sanity with a new episode of Castle (and as many clips, interviews and sneak-peaks as possible).

3. Have taken on as personal mantras such quotes as “Feed the Birds” “Bam said the lady” “Shut the front door” “You smell like cherries” and “Put down the taser.”

4. Understand that Andrew Marlowe, Rob Bowman (and the other directors and writers) hold the power over our happiness in their fingertips.

5. Recognize that Nathan, Stana, Jon, Seamus, Ruben, Tamala, Susan & Molly have taken over our lives and created one huge amazing, wonderful, funny, delightful FAMILY that each of us are an appreciated part of.

6. Have discovered the amazing talents of our fellow OCD’ers in fan fiction, you tube and “Great Fan Artwork of the week” (via Stana Katic).

7. Declare Monday as the best day of the week.

8. Bring hope and joy to a despairing world through introducing Castle to all.

9. Fill ourselves full of eye-candy, our minds with witty banter, and our hearts with plot twists, relationship arcs, and character developments of all episodes of Castle.

10. Devote a substantial amount of time to watching, and re-watching Castle episodes, clips, interviews, sneak-peaks, audio commentaries, bloopers & outtakes, you tube videos…and reading as many articles as we can get our hands on…and discussing & sharing all of this very valuable information on the ABC Discussion Boards & CastleTV Forums!

Thanks, Nerwin! I thought for my first posting on this site, I'd start big. Idea Glad you like it. I had way too much fun writing it…naturally inspired by DetCastle!

Nalissa, I love it! Exactly how I feel. Especially after listening to Pam on Castle radio describe the amazing Tick, Tick, Tick. This just might be the longest weekend of my life! Who knew OCD would create a sudden dislike of the weekend? Arrg!

Love this. Perfectly describes my condition ever since discovering the show. I think we should start some sort of official, binding castillion-hood or something. like signing a petition sort of.

Also, question for ya, Gollymaya: the first part sounds like a prayer I've heard before–did you base it off of one?

Whenever I think of something like this I get this picture in my head of Huck Finn and Tom Sawyer and their blood oath but obviously that might be kinda difficult to do here on castletv.net Crazy

"Is there a help group for OCD Castle fans??…. "hello, my name is DetCastle and I'm addicted to Castle."….. That perfect little statement reminded me of the Serenity Prayer for AA, and their 12 steps. Of course I have no desire to recover from Castle, this is one lifelong addiction I plan to keep!

Short of tatoos (just kidding), this random thought came to mind: A challenge coin is a small coin or medallion (usually military), bearing an organization’s insignia or emblem and carried by the organization’s members. They are given to prove membership when challenged and to enhance morale. (Wikipedia). It would seriously be awesome to organize, maybe we could do some real good for the show! Just a thought….

You have just described every waking minute of every day in my shoes.

I would be honored (maybe even some would have me committed) to be joining this Help Group.

The weekend is about to begin after the end of the day tomorrow and I am hoping that the weekend flies by. Who does that? Oh, yes…. This Help Group is as excited about Monday as am I.

I am officially "off the reservation" in anticipation for Tick, Tick, Tick & Boom!

Oh well I've never done AA, lol, but I like the inspiration it gave you anyway! I think a challenge coin would definitely be cool, like a universal little dealio we could have that would unite us fans all over the world!

I have to admit, when I first saw this, I had a grin on my face because I recognized where it was from! (I used to attend Alateen, a branch of AA.)

I simply love the creativity that was put into this! It was great to read through, and while I may not have been a Castle fan for as long as many members here, all of this rings true!

A challenge coin would be fun to have. Then we could show it as proof of membership on the boards when we meet one another in person Smile
