I was just refering to the last episode, which they gave us guys a show with the coffee spill on her 'white' shirt. (not that I mind, it just took me by surprise)

What about if Beckett went undercover on her OWN? it would drive Castle nuts a) not being with her all day and b) worrying if she was safe?
I think that would definitely conjure up more than either wanted to admit to. Castle has never hidden his interest but maybe this would bring home that Beckett is not a 'fling' type of girl.

He's 'sober for five years' but a alcoholic will alwaysbe an alcoholic, there are varying degrees of the disease but from her comment I think her father's drinking was pretty severe.
but she's wearing his watch every day. and she's super-compassionate with every grieving person. I can't see her shutting her own father out. They've had a rough time, but I'm thinking they worked through it together. "My dad took her death hard. He's sober now. Five years. So, this is for the life that I saved." She says this with a smile, not anger. Well, we'll see in a month or so.

i agree. it would appear he is her only family left so i just can't see her being angry towards him.

I didn't say she's turned her back on him but she's a career woman.
I just don't see them as having a super close relationship is all.
I wonder if the writer's will write her dad into the show? that would be interesting.

There is a lot of middle ground between turning your back on someone and shutting them out of your life v. simply not being close to them. You can love a person greatly and want the best for them but not be especially close.
