I am one of the few here or of Castle fans who think they can be a good working team and good romantic team if the writers handle it well They don't hae to rush them to the front roll of the concert so to speak but gently and in a fun way for us bring them closer to the front roll seating and we all get to see the concert (lol) I like them together and I don't think I will find much joy if they are dating other people through out the series I hate that. They did that sort of thing on Jag and other shows I find nothing exciting or fun to invest myself say in five seasons of a show watching my two favorite characters have romance with other people I don't have any interes in that prospect. I think you can have a fun  & exciting show with two characters  who banter back and forth and  have a great attraction for each other be used to an advantage. It is fun to watch them grow together not apart. I think it is fun when we get to see them jealous, having fun together, serious, loving and caring and mad at each other – this is what goes on in real life relationships bring it to the screen in Castle and it doesn't have to be the end if they get together before the end of the season or if the show looks to be going off the air. I think it would be interesting to have them together learning each others traits and oddies and how that effects their relationship. Always room for make up and break up's and coming together again. It would be interesting for an episode if maybe Beckett has to protect Castle from a stalker who wants him dead and she must have him stay at her apt instead of his apt.  >A woman who has a love fantasy with him)Cops could guard his Mom & daughter but Beckett would be assigned 24 -7 with Castle- sparks would fly no doubt. Remember I am new to this board and don't know if this idea which isn't original done on other shows before in past , has been discussed here on the board.

 I love the show and I came and stay because of the two of them, but enjoy the entire cast. However having said that if Castle & Beckett weren't on this show I wouldn't be tuning in. Replaced actors and I am gone, that has happened on shows, hope it doesn't ever happen on Castle. Love the stories and the cast.

In regards to Beckett and Castle dating other people, both of them are very passionate about things they care about. I think if we did see them date other people (mind you, briefly) if would be fun to see the jealously increase and increase until it explodes. I could totally see that happening.

I can already see the boiling over fight:

I said jealousy should be involved for sure love when folks show their caring side if the jealously is controled and not harmful lol!!
