How will they get together? Well, my vision goes like this: Castle and Becket arrive at the crime scene before everyone else; it's really early and they are each drinking a Starbucks conconction. The crime scene happens to be deep in Central Park, so they decide to go for a walk along the pond and watch the ducks while sipping and chatting. There is a convenient park bench along the way, which they use to gain a few moments of quiet serenity on a chilly NY morning. Castle is restless and needs to pace the path while Kate enjoys watching him. Coffee finished, pacing done, he suddenly sits down and snuggles next to Kate, starts nibbling on her ear. Kate of course must give him one of her looks, like you know those looks – but we know what she's really thinking. Castle is the opportunist here, and he sees that this is the time to let Kate know how he feels about her. Just now he thinks that words would be a waste, and that's where the perfect first kiss just happens for them. No pressure, no audience, just the two of them. The rest of the day is looking really good for them, although they do have a potentially gruesome crime scene to get to, eventually…..

Yes, if beckett made the first move that would be way better, cuz it's already out their that castle likes her. But not everybody around them really knows if she feels the same way about him.

I think people do know how she feels, but because of what she might do to the people who point it out, they just keep it to themselves. I wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of Beckett.

I think people do know how she feels, but because of what she might do to the people who point it out, they just keep it to themselves. I wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of Beckett.

It would be a great idea except they did that on Bones already a couple seasons ago.. it was a really cute episode and would love to see Kate and Beckett placed in that position… I have been a die hard Bones fan since the beginning and have been pleasantly pleased with Castle.. If your a Castle fan and havent checked out Bones I recommend it..

this is what i rekon should happen: beckett doesn't show up to work one morning which isn't like her. everyone is trying to call her but she isn't picking up. when castle comes into the station he receives an anonymous call from a lady saying that she has kidnapped his daughter and detective beckett (the grandmother isn't taken because she is out of town). castle and the other cops try and trace the call and do everything they can to find out who the lady is. they reassure castle that alexis will be fine because beckett is with her. in the end they find out that the woman was a huge fan of castle who had just gotten out of jail and had somehow found out that he was working with beckett.the lady got jealous and somehow kidnapped alexis and beckett. in the end they find them and beckett had been blind folded and slightly beaten as she was tied up. when castle goes to the station after everyone but beckett has gone he makes sure she is alright. after a few flirtacious jokes castle leans in close like he does sometimes and goes to give her a kiss on the cheek and it turns into a full adorable kiss :D then it ends until the next episode.

cool Idea but I don't like the idea of Beckett being the weak one…I would like the idea of Castle being kidnapped!

hmm yer didnt think of that one.. swap it around then.. castle instead of beckett ahah.

Agreed. At first it was cute but now it's kind of annoying.

I really hope they don't draw it out like that with Castle… I mean, I want them together but I don't want Castle and Beckett to just jump right into a relationship either.

i totally agree i love bones, but now its getting soo annoying cuz they are like so close but they drag out the "dance" FOREVER! i just hope they don't make it that long…i mean would it be soo bad if they do hook up?

I actually think the show would be funnier and that the relationship would add another element to the show. Specially having Castle who wants to blur the lines of their working relationship and personal relationship where as Beckett wants to keep them seperate. Of course with her letting some affection slip everyonce in a while and getting teased by the guys, and ofcourse it would give Alexis a "stable" mother figure (emphasis on stable!), making Castle's attachment to her even deeper.

for me, i just don't see it happening spontaneously without some sort of catalyst that causes all their defenses to be dropped. kate has some serious pride issues and so i just don't see her randomly kissing him because she's denied liking him for so long. personally, i see it as being a situation where something happens to kate so it's more of a life-affirming action. i definitely don't see kate playing the weak one but i feel like something happening to her would be the only way that castle would be totally serious about something which would cause kate to trust him enough to actually kiss him.

This was posted on TWOP, couldn't find the link. I thought the comments were spot on though. Why does the 'play' have to stop if C/B kissed or started dating? I think the show could be stronger if written correctly.

ABC's "Castle" is the most delightful TV series. I'm curious about leads Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic.

Sandra Martin, Hayward, Calif.

It's the chemistry between Fillion, 38, a TV and movie vet, and Katic, 31, a relative unknown, that makes "Castle" so delightful. And she tells us it's owed to clever writing and her co-star's charm: "He makes it easy to bounce things back and forth." Chemistry leads to questions about putting the characters together; Katic, who's single, can see both sides, "but, I wonder, why is there this myth that once people get together, there isn't play anymore? … People are married and still have wonderful relationships."

A little blurb about Castle from USA Today. Not much, but since some of us are big fans of moving the relationship forward, I thought it was nice that Stana Katic mentioned what has been mentioned here several times.

Well, the truth is that in Hollywood terms Stana is a "relative unknown" because until now she didn't played THE MAIN character in anything. It's definitely changing now, because "Castle" is more and more popular and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for an Emmy nomination for Stana next year and also for a success of her upcoming movie "Truth about Kerry", in which she stars.

Nope, she's 31. We've had this discussion on Stana's age in another thread and rvandising found an article from the local newspaper in Aurora in which there was mentioned that Stana moved there with her parents in 1979 when she was just one year old. She was born in 1978.

i wouldn't take that comment too seriously. in hollywood, everyone is a "relative unknown" until you can literally walk down the street and ask anyone "do you know who so-and-so is" and have everyone know.

Well it wasn't so much the fact of calling her a relitive unknown as the fact of saying that Nathan wasn't and she was. Frankly the only thing I have seen Nathan in and don't feel like I am missing anything…I saw Stana for the first time and automaticly looked her up needing to find more things she was in!
