The Castle-Lainie repartee already occured. When Castle held his breath on a crime scene, Lainie said she sometimes needs to shower after being on a crime scene and Castle offered to help in that regard. Or something like that. Cute.

The ENTIRE scene is awesome.

And I have to say, the hardest part of it is, her 'replacement' of sorts, Perlmutter, is also great. To my mind, as great if not- sorry Tamala -even greater. That has nothing to do with her delivery or with her, it's just that the cranky 'Q' type character is always great.

Oh, I forgot, the best Perlmutter line remains that of his intro scene, and I'm paraphrasing, 'I told that to officer whachamacallit'… And Seamus retort. 'Nice. Getting to know the rank and file, eh, Perlmutter?' classic.

There was one scene in Home is Where the Heart Stops, when Ryan is sneezing at the crime scene and Lanie says "Don't contaminate my crime scene." Something about the way she said it I've always remembered. Great delivery. And I agree – Tamala is quite underappreciated. But I guess you could say that about Ruben or Molly or Susan or anyone other than Nathan & Stana.

I agree. I was totally expecting a best friend moment between her and Beckett in Sucker Punch. Also, in the Third Man I was hoping that Lanie would rip and/or bribe Castle about the article when he showed up at the crime scene. Hopefully, they play up the relationship in Season 3.
