I just watched the premier of Law & Order SVU… it was rough! I'm kind of glad though… more potential Castle fans! [Image Can Not Be Found]

The guy that plays Elliott left suddenly I guess. I watched the premier but didn't see the finale last season but I don't think there was much warning in the script at least. They couldn't renegotiate his contract (he wanted too much $ I think) so he left. They said he shot someone and that it was a "good" police shooting but that he's had 6 of those which is a lot and after an investigation he resigned. He didn't even appear in the premier, just poof! I also heard that Olivia is leaving half way through this season… I'm thinking it could be SVU's last season if the new cast members don't take. Sad for SVU, I do like that show… but kind of good for Castle as fans seek out a new cop show to watch

It's true that Chris Meloni (the guy who played Elliot Stabler) was asking for more money, but he also decided to leave the show to do other things (like movies). In SVU's finale last season, Elliot shot and killed a teenage girl who brought in a gun to shoot the guy who killed her mother, which he has never done before so I'm sure it had a strong effect on him. So, in turn, he decided to resign (which we didn't know until the premiere, like you said). Mariska Hargitay is still going to be in every episode this season. She is NOT leaving half way through. There might be some episodes that she's not that much in, but will still be in them.

Personally, I enjoyed the premiere of SVU (I enjoy every episode of every show I watch-some more than others, but I still enjoy them). But then again, I don't stop watching a show I've watched for awhile just because one of the actors left and new people are brought in. I stay until the end. 

However, if people are looking for a new cop show to watch, I rather it be Castle than Hawaii 5-0.

I'm glad to hear Olivia will still be a regular! She was my favorite anyway. I also like SVU, but I'm totally on board with people picking Castle over Hawaii 5-0 also![Image Can Not Be Found]
