In all honesty though, I know quite a few guys who watch it. My dad is the one who got me into it. Besides- I'm a completely straight female, but I'm pretty much enamored with Stana Katic. And there's nothing wrong with that. I think. [Image Can Not Be Found]

Nothing wrong with it and you're not alone either. Quite a few us have girl crushes on Stana Katic. It's spreading rapidly.
I also know quite a few guys who are fans too. I don't think they're as obsessed – um, dedicated I mean – as some of us but they're out there.

If you think it's weird that you are in high school yet you have a crush, believe me it's weirder when you are talking about your crush to your teenage daughter [Image Can Not Be Found] [Image Can Not Be Found] . I like the show, I see other shows, movies just because the same people are playing in them and first and foremost I would see Stana even if she is reading the telephone register – so don't worry, be proud. Beside, I think there are much more male fans around, but as hot as Stana is she is not the kind of eyecandy who is referred as a "lust object". Men are usually easily willing to express their physical desire, but she is not in that category.

another male here. I'm married and I'm more a fan than my wife is!
I really like friendship and romantic moments in this show the same way I liked Meg Ryan's commedies back in the '80!
I don't think Castle is strictly a female oriented show (like, you say, Sex and the city or Desperate Housewives), and neither a male oriented (like many procedurals without romantic tension, Criminal Minds or NCIS for instance).
Obviously I'm in love with Beckett as a character (and I think Stana's real behaviour has to be really different from beckett's) and I think would have been fun to be at Castle's place, living what he lives at the precinct.
uh, and I'm 35.

My husband and father both really like Castle (as well as the husband of a good friend)! And there are quite a few men on this and other Castle boards. I agree with bel_riose…Castle would seem to have appeal for both genders. Welcome Male Castle Fan!
