Initial figures suggest that Castle’s finale ratings dropped 11% from last week but not as much as the ABC hit Dancing with the Stars which suffered a 15% drop.

The finale maintained some of the growth established last week after returning to a time slot directly following Dancing With The Stars.

Based on the ratings over the past two weeks it is looking unlikely that “Castle” will be cancelled.

News of ABC series renewals is expected to be announced on May 19.

I want to know where they snagged the picture that is posted with the article. I would love to draw it, but it's too small as a reference picture. Episode screencaps, perchance?

We hope so, but we're still encouraging people to call the ABC feedback line if they haven't already done so to let them know they enjoy the show – there are details in the first topic in the Fan Support section of the form

My whole family and neighbor's are huge fans of this show, so to show our support, each of us has called the number you provide, thank you, as well as written a letter, and sent an Email. It is fantastic news that they are considering putting the show back on air. Next season, every TV in our neighbor hood will be tuned in to the show, even if no one is home. We all would rather pay the price for power, rather than lose this wonderful show.

Calls and letters are great, however unless you are a member of the Nielsen family then having your TV tuned to a show makes no difference. You are not directly counted.

I am very glade that Castle is getting picked up and doing better. This is my favorite show on TV.

A good sign that this show was not going to get cancelled is that they showed all of the episodes in one shot. Most of the time, when shows don't have the ratings the station would like, they move it from time slot to time slot until they decide to pull the show off the air… I was pretty sure that ''Castle'' was going to get renewed because it stayed at it's original time slot and didn't go on a long hiatus like so many shows often (like ''The Mentalist'' did for a example, another show that I love).
