"Heat Wave" written by the fictional author Richard Castle from the ABC TV series "Castle" was released in September last year has spent 16 weeks in the New York Times top 30 bestsellers for Hardcover novels and is into it's 8th print run.

In January ABC announced a second novel based on Nikki Heat would be released this year.  The title "Naked Heat"  has been announced and the book will be released September 28th.

You can pre-order "Naked Heat" now.

This is great news.  I already ordered TWO copies (because I'm already having difficulty ever seeing my current Heat Wave book–keep loaning it out to people).  And because I ordered two copies (getting my order to more than $25) means I get free shipping.  Not a bad deal at all.

Now I can cross my fingers that the "Richard Castle" who writes Naked Heat will take heed of our previous comments and make it a LONGER BOOK than Heat Wave.

Well, it is listed to have 240 pages… so, uh, they added an extra 32 (again, according to Amazon.com – my copy of Heat Wave is half an hour away from my current location)?

Alas, I cannot yet preorder – Amazon.ca is painfully behind Amazon.com at the best of times. But preorder I shall – Amazon.ca did manage to deliver my copy of Heat Wave several days before the release date after all.

As much as I want to pre-order I always have problems with Amazon.com and I never get the book on the release date. It always comes like three days later… It makes me a sad panda.

"Naked Heat"? I can already imagine Beckett's reaction to that. :rofl: I've only read the first ten chapters of Heat Wave (I'm on the library's waiting list at #16, can you believe that?)but I hope the second one is better. And that the library acquires it too. smile I really don't mind waiting.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who is wondering how Beckett will react to the title, last time she wasn't happy with a naked woman on the cover…now with naked IN the title…
