I saw on another forum that there was a brief discussion of product placement on some other TV shows (like a Prius being hyped on Bones, Subway sandwich shops being mentioned on Chuck, etc.) and, although I find overt product placement annoying on TV shows, it got me thinking about what products would be a good tie-in to be promoted on Castle.  Don't get me wrong – i'm not saying that I want tons of product placement to ruin my favorite show.  This is just supposed to be a fun thing.  Here are some of my thoughts so far:

- Bisquick Pancake Mix or Log Cabin syrup

- Chocolate covered cherries

- Wine gums (of course)

- Dunkin' Donuts (coffee)

- The ASPCA (kittens)

- Hot flash medication (to ward off the effects of a "curse")

What do you all think?

I suggested Apple in the Ratings thread, and I think it would work pretty well. Castle already has an iPhone, he could easily get an Apple laptop, Alexis has been shown, I think, to have an iPod (in Famous Last Words).

The book shops would be fitting, as would the donuts.

Beckett's M&Ms, at least, that's what I think they are.

One more: 

For Beckett's cherry scent:  Bath and Body Works Japanese Cherry Blossom Lotion or Jergen's original scent lotion (this has a cherry-almond scent). 

I've used the BBW lotion of years and it smells yummy!

I think an important question to ask here is… would you buy a product just because it was featured in Castle?

And why would we want to clutter up our show with this kind of thing?

It would turn me Off, not on, to a product and make me think less of the show.

Well, I bought Keebler Rainbow Chips Deluxe Cookies once because they were in an episode of The Closer and my sister wanted some afterwards. But I do think it depends on the product on whether or not I'll buy it.
