Did anyone see it?  It's been on several times including during Fillion's previous show Desperate Housewives.  Keep an eye out for it!

I saw it and was really glad that they have started promoting the show during prime time.  My family and friends like to tease me about my Nathan crush so of course I have been spreading the word that he has a new show coming out. I've introduced five friends to Firefly in the last month and they have become fans so I am sure they will be tuning in on March 9th.

The first promo is my favorite! I love the lines-

Daughter: Seriously, Dad, are you in some kind of trouble?

Castle: Despite my best effforts- no!

Detective: If I give you an order then I expect you to obey it!

Castle: Well then you don't know me very well.

Can't wait for this fantastic show to air!

I look forward to seeing what other promos come out in the coming weeks.  I too am glad to see that it looks like they're promoting it well.  I know I've heard a lot of people say negative things about the show like "it's all been done before",  "looks boring" kind of thing, I hope the promos they put together can help people to see the potential in this show because I think it has loads!

The first "promo" that was leaked to youtube wasn't supposed to be for public viewing as far as I can tell, it was aimed at potential advertisers which is why it gave so much of the plot away.

I saw it during Desperate Housewives, and again tonight during The Bachelor (which I only had on in the background so I could listen for the commercial, I swear Cool) so it looks like they're serious about promoting it.

That's fantastic!  I hate not having the opportunity to see them for myself, I feel like I'm missing out Cry

I saw it during Desperate Housewives also. I forgot to say that I like the new Castle logo (if that is what it is called) in the promo.  I am not giving any energy to the negative comments and think Castle will be a great success. [Image Can Not Be Found]

Darn!

I watched Desperate Housewives & Brothers & sisters last Sunday and I didn't see ANYTHING on Castle during the commerical breaks!  I did see ads for LOST, The Bachler, and other new shows.    Did it show the ads very much?

Honestly, I am reading a lot of positive comments regarding Nathan's new show.     The only place I read negative comments was over at Whedonesque.   And that's only because Castle isn't targetting those types of fans.   They even said so at TVguide.com.

Frankly, I think Nathan is happy to do something outside the realm of Sci-Fi.   But that's JMHO which means nothing…….

Your opinion is fine, I tend to agree, they're targetting mass market not the niche sci-fi type audience…. mass market aside, I don't like most of what comes out but I think Castle looks great, mixing in the right amount of humour will make a big difference I think.  If shows like Boston Legal can work, I really think this has a great chance.

I've been seeing the ads once a night, each night in prime time.

I think the only negative comments I've seen have been from Firefly fans, but you know even the negative ones will all check it out when it airs anyway, ha ha.  And most seem pretty positive, or at least interested.  No show can please everyone.

You could be right that it's mostly fans of Nathan Fillion from his other work that are being skeptical about the show.  I have a feeling most of the people that are going to love this show aren't the same people that will be online chatting about it.

I am a huge fan and not a all skeptical about the success of the show.

What I love the most about Nathan Fillion's work is that I forget I am watching Nathan Fillion. The characters he plays come to life and I am able to fall into the story. [Image Can Not Be Found]

That being said I did just watch "Slither" last night for the first time with my husband and it made me want to be very careful about what I put in my mouth the rest of the night! [Image Can Not Be Found]

To be fair, the reason the only negative comments I've seen have been from Nathan's fans, is because those are the people I'm surrounded by on the sites I read . . . Wink

I really don't know what audience it's aimed at directly, except it's clearly aimed at me!

Good point.

At least we can all come here and talk about the show together!   I've tried using ABC.com message board & it isn't very easy for me to navigate through.

Oh- and I am one of the few people who actually enjoyed 'Drive'.  That show should of been on it's third season anyway…..

Oh- I forgot to mentioned that 'The View' has been having the stars from ABC new mid seasons shows on as guests!   Next week they are having a cast member from 'Life on Mars'    Good chance we may see Nathan on over the next month!    Whoo-hoo!

Regardless of what people think of the show…..they always ask good questions & Whoopi (LOVE HER!) is excellent about mentioning current work that their guest has recently done.

Keep your fingers crossed ladies!!!   Laugh

Yay! I saw the promo during 'Lost' last night! Very good!  I am also glad to see that the show is being promoted well. I was worried that it might not be. I would like to state that I am a huge 'Firefly'/Nathan Fillion fan and the only negative feelings I have had towards this new series is fear of failure. Not because it won't be any good, but because networks seem to have so little taste and patience in what they'll stand behind. But to be perfectly honest, I'd watch Nathan Fillion in anything, doing anything! Like he could read soup labels off soup cans for an hour or so and I'd be mesmerized! Seriously, I kid you not! Soup labels ….
