Now, when we're getting full 24 episodes second season,

I think it's high time to prepare our wishlist for the DVD Extra features. I'll start:

1) Bloopers and Outtakes – more than on the season 1 DVDs

2) DELETED SCENES – they're a MUST!!!

 - especially these from "Boom!" episode with Beckett and Alexis, which are in promo pics from this episode but didn't make the final cut

3) Commentaries:

    – in pairs: actor/actor, actor/writer, actor/director

    – at least ONE commentary by Stana Katic/Nathan Fillion (i.e. episode 13 "Sucker punch")

    – at least ONE commentary by Stana Katic/Ruben Santiago-Hudson

    – at least ONE commentary by Stana Katic/Susan Sullivan or Stana Katic/Tamala Jones – the ladies' point of view commentary

    – at least ONE commentary by Stana Katic/Jon Huertas/Seamus Dever

    – at least ONE solo commentary by both Stana and Nathan,

     but here I have a special challenge for them

     – Stana would pick an episode for Nathan to make a commentary on and vice versa.

– a commentary by Stana, Nathan and Molly for "One man's treasure".

– a commentary by Jon and Seamus for "The Third Man"

- a commentary by Stana Katic and Dana Delany for "Tick… Tick… Tick…"/ "Boom!"

4) Interviews: separate interviews discussing their characters' development and the differences

between season 1 and 2 with EVERY actor from the main cast:

Nathan Fillion, Stana Katic, Jon Huertas, Seamus Dever, Ruben Santiago-Hudson,

Susan Sullivan, Molly Queen and Tamala Jones.

5) Musical piece – Stana and Nathan performing a song together

6) The movie trailer for "Heat wave"

7) The auditions they gave to get the job

8) This hot'n'smoking "Castle's dream fantasy" promo!

I imagine they ought to include some sort of featurette on Heat Wave and the book signings.
Maybe even clue us in to who really wrote the book…

Not really a feature but I want Castle Season 1 and 2 on blu-ray. ABC seems to be the only major studio not releasing their TV series on blu-ray. I'm tempted to buy the HD episodes on iTunes but I prefer physical media and the quality doesn't match blu-ray.

Definitley decent bloopers and outtakes, this lot weren't really funny at all and I'm sure there were load more than that. Yep real bloopers, Stana's foot for one but I'm sure there a lot more.

To be honest I have no interest in the director's commentaries, let the actors speak. Personally I don't care what 'point' they were trying to get at.

I loved the idea of having Nathan & Stana pick an episode for the other to review or have them do a few together as well as Molly & Susan. Maybe even all the girls -v- all the boys LOL madness would ensure I'm sure.

Let Nathan lose with a web cam again, I love those sorts of things.

That's just a placeholder. Nothing official.

A – I would like a little longer bloopers and outtakes. Deleted scenes but only if funny.

B – Commentaries from Nathan/Stana going over each of their favorite episode as SydneyDeb mentioned
earlier. I always watch all commentaries because I like to know how the actors and the directors point of view. Let us all ask to have a favorite commentary since that seems a little different then season one.

I agree…I was surprised when ABC released Pushing Daisies (a canceled show) on Blu-ray but not Castle.  They also have released Grey's and Lost on Blu-ray.  I agree with you about the Blu-ray quality.  I still have the first episode of the first season of Castle on my DVR in HD, just so I can see it in the better quality.  I played back the Castle Season 1 DVDs in my Blu-ray player, but it obviously isn't the same (as grateful as I am that we even have Season 1 on DVD!).

This might be one of the reasons why Castle didn't get one. Plus 10 episodes is a hard sell. Season 1 and 2 in the same set will be alright for me.

Gotcha…thanks!  Didn't realize Pushing Daisies was made by WB (even though it was on ABC).

I would defintely like a deleted scenes section, I was kind of dissapointed that there were no deleted scenes on the season 1 dvd's.

There def needs to be one for "Fool Me Once", that bathroom scene alone would be hilarious to hear them talk about

I updated the first post regarding the interviews for season 2 DVDs. It would be great to have them all interviewed separately.
