Probably not until March or so, I'm guessing, at the earliest.  ABC will wait to see how their mid-season replacement shows do after the holidays in case they want to renew any of those for the fall.

since abc had ordered an extra 2 more episodes for season 3, i would hope that would be an indication that season 4 is a sure thing?

I really hope castle has a 4rth season. I know im only nine but im mature enough to watch and comprehend the story.

I wouldn't be worried about a fourth season unless the season takes a serious downturn.
