Hi all and Admin,
If you guys are reading this new post no worries, it's nothing alarming just the affect of general boredom nothing more….
I was just reading a bunch of tumblr looking for any castle spoiler stuff that i might of miss…(and yes today i'm just that bored) and i came across 2 quotes supposedly from my fav Mr. Nathan Fillion our one in a million.
On coffee for Beckett, Mr Fillion allegedly stated that the coffee is a subtle way for castle to say to beckett,
"Good morning my heart, how are you today?"
the 2nd alleged quote I found was,
"Beckett and Castle's hearts beat for each other but they don't have the same rhythm yet"
can anyone confirm that nathan did say this stuff. Bcoz if he did, my suspicion on nathan is that he just might very much be a closet "SHIPPER" …lol.
PS anymore quotes from nathan to confirm my suspicion is most welcome.

Well, as far as I understood, these quotes are from the interview that Nathan and Stana did for a French magazine, and the interview was actually published in French, so these particular quotes are the result of French-speaking fans translating them back into English, which means it's hard to say now what the exact wording was, but I guess the meaning must be correct. And the second quote, about the hearts beating not in the same rhythm, as far as I remember it was Nathan quoting Andrew Marlowe in that interview.
But that doesn't mean he's not a closet shipper, of course.

Hi Carrie,
hahaha.. i think that its suspicious that he remembers that particular quote from andrew marlowe. And as for the french magazine i wonder if Stana could be our witness to the possible hidden "shipper" side to Nathan. She does speak the language. Anyway until we have gather enough proof i'd say Nathan's hidden shipper status will remain inconclusive.

I've got question: what does the world "shipper" really mean? english is not my first language and I don't know if I understand it correct. Does it mean that someone wishes that Castle and Backett will be together? Or is there other meaning of this word that I don't get?

People who want two people, i think, to get together is called a 'shipper', i guess. Of course this is me purely guessing! But then people 'ship' non-romantic pairings also. So I am confused now.

When it comes to fans, the term "shipper" refers to someone who supports a chosen Relation"ship" on their favorite show, usually a romantic relationship. If you are cheering for Castle & Beckett to eventually fall in love, then you would be a "Shipper", which I am proudly 
. (Actually, we KNOW they're already in love, we just need them to ADMIT they're in love)
I was also a big shipper of Mulder & Scully back in my X Files days, but I remember that people used to use the term "No Romo's" for people who absolutely did not want then to have a romantic relationship, but I'll always be a shipper at heart.

I think he is leaner more towards being a shipper than he has before. For almost 3 seasons he was staunchly against Caskett, siting the "moonlighting curse". Some say he may have been leaning that way b/c he's never been on show that's been really successful. I definitely think something has changed since the beginning of the season that has given him some reassurance that Castle and Beckett will not be victim of the "moonlighting" curse.

Whenever there are two people I love to see sharing scenes I say I friend"ship" them. An example of that would be Castle and Lanie. Others really friend"ship" Beckett and Espo. I would really love to see Castle and Lanie share more scenes because they have great back and forth chemistry. I always love when they are at a crime scene and he makes a joke then looks over at Lanie for props and she just rolls her eyes.

Andrew Marlowe posted in the online episode commentary for the season 2 finale that coffee is Castle's little way of telling Beckett how much he cares for her, so she is going to be upset when he doesn't bring her a cup or someone steals hers (like Natalie Rhodes did). You all got it exactly right.

My bad. But I suspect Nathan will come around eventually. Andrew pointed out to all of us at Castle Con that they just shot or are shooting their 66th episode and Moonlighting ended at 66 episodes, so they've already surpassed that show. Just proves how a relationship like Castle's and Beckett's can last if it's done right.
