I know the S2 finale left us all a little bitter but it did open the door for better things to come. It's clear how the leads feel about each other so it's just a matter of them getting to the place where they can say what needs to be said to one another. I can't imagine that the writers will be able to realistically drag a Caskett hook up out for more than another season, two tops. That said (posted), I was wondering how the fans felt about Beckett and Castle getting to know each other (in the biblical sense) for the first time. Should that moment be hot, sexy, and passionate considering things have been bottled up for so long 
……Or should it be sweet, tender, and romantic 
? Which one and why?

Beckett needs to shove everything on the floor from the table, then throw Castle on it. Castle then needs to say something about letting him drive this time.
My vote is for funny. With Beckett looking hot n ready, like a little ceasar's pizza. (Not that Beckett looks like a pizza, just. . . . you guys get the drift. 
)

Yeppers! Needs to be hot, sexy, passionate…Nikki Heat style! The "funny" will be seeing Ricky's reaction!!! I'm already laughing as I visualize Terry's suggestion about shoving everything off the table and throwing Castle on it. If anybody saw the Librarian, remember when she threw Flynn against the wall and then on the bed? ROFL That's what I'm talking about!

Aw Man..
! Am I the only one who thinks it should be sweet and tender? I really didn't think to factor in the funny which will really fall in line with the true spirit of Castle. I was thinking of a gentler approach the first time mostly because I'm an over-the-top romantic, but also because we've seen Castle get hot and heavy with his ex-wife and Ellie. I'd like it to be something different with Beckett.

Well, this is true…they will definitely need to do something special with the scene to distinguish it from those trysts. Maybe an amazingly romantic moment to spark the hot, passionate stuff…nothing cheesy. And yes…funny, too. Wow…lots to live up to!
I'm a romantic too, so I get where you're coming from. Sorry to bring Moonlighting into the discussion since everyone hates comparisons, but the scene where Dave and Maddie DTD was passionate and actually fueled by an argument…with just one tiny, tiny tender moment at the end of the scene…and it was very disappointing to my young romantic heart! I'm hoping for better for Castle and Beckett!

I think with his ex and Ellie that is lust, not love. With Beckett he has a deep emotional and physical attraction, so when the sparks fly. It will fly in a big way. I suspect it will play out the same in regards to intensity, but there will be a "completeness" that would be lacking with the other two that he will feel with Beckett.
It may start out hot and heavy, but Castle may be the one to slow it down and turn it into something more slow and smouldering.

I was thinking that there needed to be more stuff broken than when Castle and his Ex (Deep Fried Twinkie) were doing the deed. I loved the two pictures that fell off of the wall toward the end of the "doing it" part – for some reason it really cracked me up.
But like others have said – been there done that with the Twinkie and the Actress.
It would be really sweet if it was a romantic get together.
However, since this is Castle we are talking about, I'm going for the third option: Awkward, embarassing (for Castle and Beckett – not us) and funny.
Castle, being the "experienced man of the world" and Beckett – Miss One and Done – but with some Niki Heat overtones, comming together will not occur in a "normal" "sane" manner nor after a night out on the town. I also do not think that they will hook up "under fire" like Hawkeye and Hot Lips did in MASH.
You should kiss that girl while you are both young.
