Episode 2.19, Wrapped Up In Death minor spoiler(non killer related)
For instance, I want to know what Beckett, Esposito and Ryan did to the coffee machine to make it gush steam like that. Did they actually employ a bit of help from the bomb squad?

I also want to know where Castle got his laser tag kit from. That was shiny.

I would like to know where Castle learned to shoot like he does. I also want to know what got him into writing murder mysteries. He never answered Beckett.

He sort of does. At least part of why he writes what he writes. When Alexis is down after Fagan is killed by Paige, she asks why? Castles tries to comfort her by telling her he doesn't know why but that's one of the reasons why he writes, to try and figure out why the way some people behave the way they do. Which, if you remember is also one of the reasons Beckett gives (Pilot)to why she loves his books.

I think Beckett mentioned in the ep that they did have the bomb squad rig the machine to shake then spew smoke. "All flash and no damage," Beckett said.
The question I most want answered is not why Castle writes, but how he developed his interest in writing. In the Vampire Weekend episode, you think he explains it, but it turns out he's just pranking Beckett. I'd love to hear the real story.

he did mention in one episode (the one where he gets the 3 book deal), that james bond novels were the "reason why he became a writer" (not an exact quote), and the fact he spent so much time in libraries because of his mom going awol because of work,etc?

egh, now that you mention it… i always just assumed esposito and ryan joined up after esposito transfered from the 14th after his team was disbanded after his old partner was supposedly killed… that may not be the case.

i think there is an answer for this floating around but i don't know where it is so please forgive me… but where did castle get the last name "castle"? i know it's his writer's name, since "richard rodgers" dosen't sound quite right, and he dosen't know who his biological father is (walken! heh 
)

Probably research for his novels. He's very big on research, as evidenced by the collection of characters we've seen him associate with and his random assortment of knowledge. Probably for every titbit that he's mentioned during a case he's got twenty more.

Although Castle eluded to it in the pilot episode, I'd like to know Beckett's financial status. Considering the quality of her NY apartment, her high end wardrobe/jackets, and her cop salary something's not adding up. I'm thinking Ms. Beckett is a trust fund baby.

do you mean…. as in compensation from her mother's death? like a life insurance payout?

okay i have some:
we know something about beckett's mother's background, but not much of anything about her father. ie. nothing about the work he did/does now. we only know that he took his wife's death hard, which lead to the alcoholism, and now being sober for 5 years at least…
i also would like to know how beckett and cpt. montgomery came together. i'm assuming she was a beat cop straight out of the academy 10 years ago, and we know that she investigated her mother's murder on her off-duty hours, and for her to do that she must have spent a lot of time in the homicide division and crossed paths with the captain (who was a still a detective at the 64th pct 10 years back according to 02x08 "kill the messenger")… but i want to know how.

No, no. At least I hope not. I was thinking more like her parents had money. She was raised a child of privilege. She was on a path to do whatever rich offspring do and was blindsided by her mother's death. The money is still there but she has been slumming it to pursue a life/career for which she feels passionate.
