Not sure if this deserves a new topic category – but don't know where else to post.  I live in CA — they are advertising on ABC how Skating with the Stars will be on after Dancing with the Stars beginning Nov. 22.  But here, that's Castle time!  Anyone know if they're moving Castle, or if this is a temporary thing, or what?  It's a bad time for a show to be moved around or preempted, when ratings are important.  Just wondering if anyone else had heard this promo, and what's up???

Thanks for that.  Hadn't seen the home page here.  Guess it's not too surprising about the Thanksgiving-time episode being missing – but usually shows are just re-run during holidays – as you mentioned, we won't be getting a re-run.  Don't really like the idea of no Castle for two weeks.  Like I said, it's never good for a show to be off during the time when networks are watching so closely for what shows work, don't work, etc.  Would like to think ABC is so confident in Castle that they know they can move it or remove it and it will all be ok, but not sure that's the case.

Since I believe that November is one of the months that the industry sets out as an important ratings month, because advertising rates for show sponsors, are figured based on ratings in the various time slots, I guess it's not suprising that sensational, out of the ordinary things are done to get viewers temporarily, even during the important primetime lineups.

The beginning of the holiday season likely has something to do with it also, and it's always important for the current production of shows to get some time to get ahead filming episodes.  Reruns, and sometimes a little different programming is often done, to help them stay ahead of schedule.

We've often got info on the scheule posted here before you'll find it anywhere else.

I should have said that I haven't seen the home page lately – used to go there all the time and then to the forum.  But have been short on time lately so head straight for forum.  But you're right – now that I see the home page, there's much to take in and I'll do it in the future – looks great, by the way!

CBS should send a great bucket of roses to ABC for helping revitalize the H50 .
