That did speak volumes, Drama Wonder. If nothing else, she's trying not to rub it in Castle's face like she did with Demming.What I'm curious about is in Countdown, the morning after Beckett and Castle are saved from the freezer, Castle brings Beckett their usual coffee and sits in his normal chair next to her desk. She takes the coffee, then looks like she's going to say something but stops herself. What was it she was going to say? Something about DMB? Something about what she was going to say to him before she passed out in the freezer?

In One Life to Lose Beckett said, about the victim something along the line of "She could want to try again and still have doubs".
For me, this statement, is about the victim relationship and her own relationship with Josh.

If DMB isn't out of the picture I'd say that so called "relationship" is hanging by a thread. And if there is still a relationship I think that Beckett will one way or another have to explain WHY she was gunned down, well at least the bare mininmum. Josh might be shocked that there is this HUGE part of her life that she has kept from him and that will be the last straw.

I'm not totally convinced that Josh knows nothing about Johanna's murder. All we know for sure is that he doesn't know about her murder board and her obsession with finding the killer, which still dovetails with your point Alie. When he does find out whatever it is that he doesn't know, it will probably be quite a shock. He may very well say "I can't handle all that drama" and walk away. I'm hoping he saves her life, then begins to question whether he is willing to have a relationship with someone who could die or be seriously maimed every day when they go to work. Some people can't handle it. But, I've a feeling the TPTB, will keep him in the picture for a while longer. Beckett's glee at seeing him after she is pulled from the freezer was just the excitement of the moment. When it get down to real life, she'll figure out her feelings really haven't changed all that much.

If Josh does in fact know JB was murdered, but no more than that. ie- the murderboard I can see there being a huge disconnect between him and what Beckett has or is willing to share with him. I also don't think Beckett will have the same feeling of "this means we have a chance" if Josh perform surgery because way too much has changed b/t Countdown and the finale.

Beckett has to surely be questioning her relationship with Josh, if there
still is one, after what happened in LA. She opened the door, she went back
out. That spoke volumes. I think that they were already over at that point and
she hadn't mentioned it, which would be just like her; or she would have to be
really questioning staying with him after opening that door. Add to that
Royce's letter….
If she hasn't already ended things with Josh, everything that happened at
the end of the finale should have her questioning what she really wants, its
cats that have nine lives after all.

I have a silly question first, what does DMB stand for? Josh obviously… but I don't know what all the letteres represent [Image Can Not Be Found]
I think it's possible that her and Josh ended a while ago too and she just didn't say anything. She makes it a point to not discuss her personal life with co workers, or Castle for that matter and telling him that she and Josh broke up could make her seem to eager to be with him. I think it's possible they've already broken up we just don't know it because she is so private. But I definitely also think it's possible they are still together. I think she is using Josh to try to get rid of her feelings for Castle. Castle represents everything she's terrified of and if she can just love someone else enough she won't have to face that fear. The problem is she actually loves Castle and can't shake the feelings. I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!

If Beckett has already broken up with Josh, then what is the point of keeping him around after he does surgery on Beckett? I get the distinct impression from Marlowe that he will be in the picture until at least around mid-season. BTW, I cannot believe any real hospital would let a guy do surgery on his girlfriend. Are there policies out there against surgeons doing surgery on loved ones?

That's something I meant to put in my post above Admin, but forgot about: that it's an assumption that has been made based on a post of Ausiello's where he says Beckett was shot near the heart and Josh is a cardiac surgeon. It could be that he doesn't do surgery on her at all, but meets the ambulance at the hospital and finds out what happened.
