You know you are a Castle fan when…

when you wake up in the middle of the night from a nightmare that nobody watched the Castle repeat last night and Bill from tvbythenumbers wrote a scathing article making fun of Castle fans.

Thank the lord above that my dream was 100% wrong!

Okay, I had a fabulous laugh last night.  My husband was reading in bed
and carelessly laid his bookmark on my side of the bed.  I come in
after wards and pick it up, "What's this?" 

It was his notes for a  surprise Castle/murder
date he'd been trying to work the details out for.   I have to solve a murder, his murder, and…  well he could have spun
it a number of ways, but I like the idea of he and I wandering around
gathering clues and solving the murder on the date, like Castle and Beckett.  I got such a kick
out of that!

Suspect One:  Phil (his assistant)
Motivation:  Wants his job
Alibi:  Out of town

Suspect Two:  Morris (our 90 year old neighbor who hit on me last summer)
Motivation:  Wants hubby out of the way
Alibi:  Home alone

Then it went on to possible clues.  But he didn't get very far on those.  He was having trouble working out the details.  Might never happen, but I got such a kick out of the idea, it was worth it for that alone.

When…

*You have specifically co-ordinated playing the castle theme song on the computer and recording it on your cell phone to set it as your own ring tone.

*The wallpaper picture on your cell phone is a photo of Castle and Beckett in an embrace that you hunted and hunted for on the internet and took the picture with your camera phone.

*You start your Monday morning conversations with the people at work with "Hooray, I'm so glad it is Monday!"  They look at you like you just sprung 3 heads and you do your little happy dance with a big smile and tell them, "TGICM"  (Thank God it's Castle Monday)

* Your boss used the word ironic and used it correctly.  You told her "Good Use of Irony".

*Your teenage son is asking what is so great/funny/interesting when you are on the computer and then he says,  "Oh, nevermind, It's Castle…. again" he says with a huge eye roll.

* Every week when you talk to Mom who lives many states away, the conversation of Castle is always discussed.  It ends with a "don't call me when the show is over Mom, I've still got 3 hours to go and I don't want to know everything that happened".

* You e-mail links to Mom of photos, scoop, etc., but she has no idea how to do any of this stuff on the computer.  (And you know that, but try to explain it best you can in the e-mail)

* On your computer, your favorites are bookmarked as ABC.go.com/shows/castle, CastleTV, Spoiler TV, TVGuide, YouTube, Twitter (WriterCastle, Nathan Fillion, Stana Katic & Terri Edda), ABC Medianet, FanFiction

* When going to Google or Bing search engines, when you type an St it pulls up Stana Katic, you type a Na and Nathan Fillion appears, you type Ca and Castle pops up….  You get the picture.

* Your new favorite shirts to wear everywhere on the weekends are Shut The Front Door, You Smell Like Cherries and Writer.  And the coolest thing is….  people DO ask about them :)

Here's my list of a few, but I'm sure there are so very many more.

When your father get's remote controlled helicopters for his birthday and the first thing you think of is Castle playing with HIS helicopter (guilty)

When you should be studying for a Spanish test but instead you spend 3 hours voting in the Hulu poll (guilty)

When you go to a book signing for Dr. Bill Bass and Jon Jefferson, the writing team for the Bill Brockton mystery series about Forensic Anthroplogy (My major) the most exciting part for you is not to get to meet your idol Dr. Bill BAss the father of modern Forensic Anthropology or Dr. Art Bahman the world renown fingerprint expert, the inventor of the machine that heats up superglue for fingerprints and the first man to life fingerprints off of a body. No the most excitign part is when the mystery writer Jon Jefferson mentions that as a writer for mystery novels he has done a lot of research and knows a lot of interesting people which is how he ended up watching a surgeon operate on nerve tissue in a hand. You get really excited because this reminds you of Richard Castle and how he has a man for everything.

Then later that night at a youth party somebody asks what your major is and when you reply Forensic Anthropology they ask if you watch CSI and you say now and you instead talk about how Castle is the best show on television and after a while you realize that they are looking at you funny because no one talks about a tv show for this long unless they are certifiably insane.

Then later while waiting for the cookies for the party to finish baking instead of putting on the oven timer or talking to your sister, you pull out your cell phone and watch the episode Tick…Tick… Tick…

Oh that's a cool pic :)  Did they just let you go up there to see it or did you have to know someone who was a guest?

Tonight I know I am a hardcore Castle fan because I'm sick with a cold and could easily take some Nyquil and go to bed right now, but I'm sitting here watching "Home is Where the Heart Stops" even though I'm recording it on the DVR, have it on DVD & iTunes and I've seen it MANY times before, but it's on tv NOW, so I MUST watch it, and then I can crawl into bed :) 

Less than 48 hours to go before…..BOOM!.

…you dress as closely as you can to Beckett in 217 in hype for 218. I'm not kidding, and I have the pics to prove it Been walking around campus dressed like this.

I do have a cardigan that's the right color, but it also has frills, which doesn't say Beckett for me in trying to get this look.
