This week we had a repeat of Season 2 episode 1 Deep in Death. The repeat was reflected in the ratings with a singificant drop to 6.75 million viewers and a ratings share of only 1.9/5 however it should be noted that a repeat of CSI repeat also resulted in a significant drop from 13.18 million viewers and a ratings share of 3.7/10 last week to just 9.41 million with a share of just 2.5/6 this week.

I'm still shocked at how well we did last night for a repeat! We still beat Leno! If I was Jay, I would be crying.

I was waiting for the final numbers because football played a factor. It had ridiculous ratings too. But if Castle didn't drop too signifcantly it's a good showing for a repeat from what I've read on various sites.

Castle (R, 96% coverage)

Not bad considering. Anyone remember how previous repeats did?

"Castle" (10:00-11:00 p.m.)
During the 10 o'clock hour, ABC's repeat "Castle" defeated NBC's original "Jay Leno" by 43% in Total Viewers (6.0 million vs. 4.2 million) and by 33% in Adults 18-49 (1.6/4 vs. 1.2/3). Unable to capitalize against rebroadcast programming, "Leno" was down -14% Monday to Monday among Adults 18-49 (1.2/3 vs. 1.4/4), despite facing repeat dramas in the hour on both ABC and CBS.
* In Total Viewers and Adults 18-49, "Castle" turned in the series' best-ever repeat numbers.
