I don't think it's as evident with some actors, because many of them have had vocal training and have worked hard to remove any trace of any kind of accent from their inflections.  But, if you watch shows produced in Canada (like Bulging Brides or The Shopping Bags), you can really pick it out; I have a couple of Canadian friends, and it is pretty obvious.

Yeah, you usually can't hear Stana's accent.  She hides it well.  Even here, it is very slight.  I wonder if she slips after exposure.  Ever notice how she says the word "process" in the playhouse interview?

Not all Canadians or all Americans have the same accent.  That's just silly.  It's a regional thing.

Well obviously. It's quite apparent that the Newfoundland accent is different from the one in western Canada, and that many regions within the states have different accents. I'd have to live under a rock to not know that. :) As far as I'm aware, though, there's a more generic 'accent' like Stana's that doesn't sound any different from the way I or my Canadian friends speak, never mind some of my friends from the States. That's why, when someone points out phrasing like that, I wonder what it is about the way she talks that sets her apart from what, to me, sounds like a pretty standard way to talk. Just curiosity, I have a fascination with accents haha.

I loved these sneak peeks!  I was excited at the link that appeared at the bottom that there were more videos at abc.com  I had seen the "ABC House" promo before, but not this particular version with Castle talking about being a practical joker.  I am so excited for the new season!  I noticed the "raining men" reference as well, but isn't it a little odd considering at this point, Heat Wave has already been written, and then this happens?  Interesting though! :)

Oh, that looks so good, I can't wait for the 21st!

I agree, I really hope they develop Lanie's character. She seems to be a great friend with Beckett, so I hope we see more moments and great lines like that.
