Offlineyeah I agree with everyone!!
- great Montage of the coffee scene.
- nice that Castle helped Alexis solve something rather than the other way around
- murder kept me guessing
- The broom scene was hilarious (I laughed out loud and was so scared of waking up everyone in the house!!)
- mini-beckett…. I mean Alexis definitely is a natural and probably will end up being a cop or a detective when shes older!!
- Esposito had some really funny lines with Ryan – I'll re-watch today!!

OfflineI actually really liked this episode. You know from reading 90% of what I've posted that I have been pushing for more Caskett/Beckle or whatever you want to call them, moments but I thought that this played on their chemistry rather nicely in some of the scenes. It wasn't as overt as the "cherries" scene, but it worked far better than I expected (I read comments before actually seeing the episode so maybe my expectations were low.)
That said, I absolutely do believe they need to play up the chemistry. This is the thing: the whole premise of this show put the chemistry between Stana and Nathan at the forefront of the series beginning in the pilot episode. This is one of those relationships that really strikes me (and going by many of the posts, lots of other people) as not an "if" they get together, but simply "when". To back off in hopes of dragging it out is what is unrealistic. I feel like a broken record, but while I don't advocate throwing them in to bed 2 episodes from now, I do think that they need to keep giving the fans the "moments".
"Wheres my broom?" is probably my new favorite line. That whole scene was priceless! Stana never disappoints with the way she plays things like that.

It would be great to see entirely new "little Castle" running around in let's say 3 or 4 seasons

OfflineMoonie pie said:the last thing I remember was when they had found a house on Long Island & were thinking it might be lady # 3
Short version:
Lady #3 turned out to be the fiancee, and she had a false identity too.
So: Dead guy spied on chem firm for recycle method. Boss found out and hired fiancee to get him off his track with false info. Dead guy found out that chem firm was lying and polluting. Fiancee had found pictures (proof of pollution) when visiting wife, Castle found them shredded. But fiancee had alibi. Boss had not, and they found gun in trash by his house.
Turns out dead guy was "old fashioned" and didn't sleep with fiancee, staying true to wife and trying to save environment – wife comforted in her grief.
Alexis found owner of picture book, Beckett said: "I'm very impressed you closed this case." (with Caslte as witness). Castle very proud.

OfflineUgh, my quote button isn't working. :P
itsmyworld- See, I think we are getting the 'moments' each episode. Naturally, there wouldn't be a 'you smell like cherries' scene every single week, but there are the little moments. This week, Castle had a little moment when Beckett was talking to Alexis about the photo album at the end. He really liked the way the two most important ladies in his life were interacting- the way Beckett was praising and encouraging her, it was almost motherly. He just might have been imagining what it would be like if someday… well, you know.
Sometimes the 'moments' are one-sided. They don't always have to be between the two of them at the same time. I'm really like the way things are progressing.

i love at the beginning, when they were telling captain montgomery about the whole wife-fiance situation this, and they did this matching head turn thing. [Image Can Not Be Found]
i also loved the short scene where castle was making coffee…beckett's expressions were awesome
and oh my God. i love the ending of this episode with the whole alexis&photo album thing
there was this one point where castle looked at beckett..and the look he gave her was just…wow
[Image Can Not Be Found]
and ryan kept me laughing every now and then
I soo agree!
matching head turn – so cute! shows how in sync they are. And they are already finishing each other's sentences, like an old couple
coffee scene – that will have to be replayed a couple of dozen times!
the interaction between Beckett and Alexis — we know that Beckett is compassionate with victims, but here she shows a different side: treating a 15-year-old with respect, taking her seriously, giving her support and praise where due. Big sister/mother/leader – shows me why she's the boss of Esposito and Ryan, she's a natural leader.
I love that they portray a tough as nails woman who at the same time is compassionate and does not freak out at the sight of children (naturally picking up and chatting with the kid in episode 1x09). The stereotype is that tough women are hopeless with children. Not so here.
All the characters, in fact, are allowed to have several sides to their personality.

OfflineSpeaking as someone who lives in the next town over from New Haven (where the murder victim and family lived), I thought it was funny that they kept mentioning about how far away it was from New York and how long of a drive it is. Even Castle complained about it. Lots of people commute into New York from New Haven, there's a Metro North train line that stops there as well…it's not a fun ride, but it's about an hour and a half drive from here (so says the person who's been back and forth to NY 3 times this week). I know that a long ride is subjective though.
I did kind of squeal though, when they went there, even though it was a fictional visit.
