No, I think you read exactly what was intended in the lines. Our writers are clever about hinting about the Castle-Beckett relationship and this episode had more than the usual number of double meanings throughout it.

I didn't think of that parallel, with Castle divorced and experienced, and Beckett a relative newbie, but I do see it like that now.

What I did see was a message to all impatient fans: the ex-wife's answer a bit before:

"I like him and he likes me, and right now that's enough".

I wish I knew how to quit you.

i was a little sad that they didn't show the promo for the 12th ep.. but that's too much wishful thinking i guess

Yeah, the next ep is a month away so I'm not surprised they didn't show a promo. As they only finished filming it so recently I'm also assuming they still have a lot of post production to do on the episode.

I loved this episode my fave moments Esposito:An ice bullet would still leave a bullet hole Ryan:Or an icehole Castle;What did you call me? All the Castle/Beckett moments espically the scene after Jeremy got arrested it seemed like they were bonding. It was funny seeing Shawn from Boy Meets World on there.

And I was really excited to see the second actor from "24" coming to "Castle"! The first one was the killer in "One man's treasure" episode and the second one was the diplomat in yesterday's episode.

This was one of the best episodes so far. The writers brilliantly took a couple (the amnesiac and his ex-wife) and wrote dialogue that could have been used between Beckett and Castle. Then they "added to that" by having Castle and Beckett periodically glance at each other while that dialogue played out. What an intelligent way to move the C-B relationship forward. I thought this may have been the sharpest dialogue usage on Castle so far (and of course, I LOVED the ice hole comment and Beckett's "watch your mouth").

All in all, this was a really great episode. I've already "assisted" by watching it a 2nd time at hulu.

"You're having an ice cream tasting without me and no one call, texted or tweeted."- Castle walking into the apartment about 16 mins (without commercial) into the episode.

Favorite Beckett quote off the top of my head from this episode: "Ice bullets and fleas with guns. Do you have writers block again?"

It's a fun moment. I especially love Beckett licking some of the spilt coffee off her fingers. Does this woman love her coffee or what?

The licking off part made it ring more true, such a natural thing to do when spilling food/drink on your hand.

The new white shirt is good for three things, I guess. 1. the coffee stain shows better with the contrast. 2. the thin white material makes it close to a wet t-shirt contest for Castle. 3. her favorite shirts are not affected. Somehow I think she (and I) would be more upset if the coffee spilled on her favorite red sweather…

I caught her saying that! I thought it was funny and then Ryan was like, "who? me?"

I thought this was an all around good episode. I like that Ryan and Esposito got quite a bit of air time. All of the characters for that matter, were in this episode. I love the bump/coffee spill scene. I thought that Stana looked really nice in the white top and then it got all ruined lol.

I liked it too! I was just commenting, "Wow, that's a really cute shirt…" when the coffee scene happened. Poor shirt, only got a few seconds of screen time :P
